Transplanting Large Plants

That is a big transplant. I did a 3-4 gallon pot transplant. Couple feet tall and treated it like a solo cup. I spread fingers around stalk and turn upside down. I couldn't imagine trying that with a 5 gal bucket. I almost dropped mine and the soil and rootball would have been smashed to smithereens. I am very interested in the community's responses.

I don't think I'm strong enough to do that because of how large it is...it will be I've been training and will continue to strain wich will .are it awkward

As long as the plant is root bound you can simply grab the stem at the soil and pull out of the pot. That is what I did when I transplanted mid flower on this grow and my plants did not even notice. I did it on day 23 of the flip.
Yes I'm hoping when the time comes I'll be in this position and it doesn't just crumble apart ,,,,,I've been searching on my own but can't seem to find much info with larger plants , and she is going to be low and fat real fat

I have a good writeup in my signature for transplanting... granted it's from 1>5g, but should help you out.

Nice to see your still here @AdaminCO

Perfect the plant will slide right out. She is well rooted pull on her if she does not budge then pull her right out she is solid.
Thanks brother it will be awkward I'll just choke her out like I'm grabbing a chicken by the neck and give her a tug ,,,,,, this process will not be happening for awhile but I already got my 10g pot and big bag of soil waiting for the day I have 2 sets of autos to blow through the ones I got now then some from sweet seeds I'll run if she is not ready or rootbound enough for the transplant,, so she is going to be big ,,,she is already becoming a handful to train without the scrog ,,,,ill set up a screen after the transplant

Thanks brother I've done a couple transplantos in my day but this is going to be large scale ,,,,, I'm also curious about pruning roots or if it's even necessary

Interesting big cat if I fill the 10g about 1/4 full put her in there and just Jackie Chan the pot off with knife then dump soil around filling her in ?
Basically lol

If you have issues pulling it out of pot , than just cut off pot and transplant to new container.
