I’m thinking of trying my hand at bubbler cloning which I can then transfer straight to my oxy-pots.
I’ve been sitting on the oxypots I bought for months now (not been growing due to poor health and such.) So, I want to think ahead to cloning. I have in mind to make a small bubble cloner, but I am not sure what size plugs to use, and baskets etc. So many to chose from on Aliexpress.
My way of thinking is that maybe I can grow clones in the bubbler, then just take out the plug (do they need a basket too?) and plop them straight into my oxypots.
I dont need to get a big commercial cloning tank, as I only want to grow about 4 at a time, 6 max (in case of issues). So, I can easily construct my own bubbler from a small bin and lid.
I have questions like, do you remove from the neoprene plugs, then just lay the roots into the clay balls?
What is the best size of ‘plugs’ to use. They are available in many sizes, and with corresponding mesh pots sizes on Aliexpress.
Any further info or ideas appreciated.
