trying to go into flowering stage been 12/12 for a good week or so. can go into total darkness for 2 days then back to 12/12 just to jump start it? or am i out in left field somewhere?....lol
That old saying from the kitchen applies here with "A watched pot never boils." meaning that if you keep watching and waiting then nothing seems to happen.
We keep watching that plant looking for signs of change that does not seem to be happening. Then we begin to think that it has been longer than we realize. Instead of 'a good week or so' it has only been 4 or 5 days. I have fallen into that more than once and go back to the written note that has the actual day.
Since the plant still needs nutrients and sugars for the flower growth it probably is better to have usual 12 hours of light each day for photosynthesis instead of the plant pulling what it needs from storage.
