Maine - Topsham is the latest town to consider a moratorium on medical marijuana dispensaries.
The board of selectmen voted unanimously Thursday to begin discussions about a possible 180-day moratorium in town.
Selectmen decided to ask the planning board for a public hearing on the issue. That hearing was scheduled for April 6.
After the hearing, the planning board will develop language for a moratorium, which will be delivered to the Selectboard by April 15.
At that time, the Selectboard will decide whether to put it on the agenda for the town meeting in May.
