Re: to much light maybe ?
Ur friend sounds like he means well but inexperienced to an extent. U will lose out on overall weight sure. But an efficient grow will still clear .8 gpw. Ether u use 100 or 10,000 Watts doesn't matter much.
As for potency "skyrocketing" no offense but I had to lol. There is absolutely NOTHING in this world you can do to improve a plants potency. U can hit the nail on the head and see the plants full potential sure... there's always room for improvement. But a plants outcome is dictated by its DNA. There is a genetic potential in every plant. The best any can hope for is to see its potential fully. There is no additive or light that will improve genetic potential. Only genetic modification can achieve this. And we "just say no to gmo "
I personally think you should get those ladies transplanted into their own 3-5 gallon pots get em on the ground. Give em some lst to get the canopy even then reorient the lights. Use the two mh as their main lightsource and put a few of those cfl in the corners and low light spots. If done properly I'd be surprised if u didn't yield just as much as u would have this way if not more. Efficient use of your light is 1000x more important than how much you have IMO.
With the right arrangement you could easily produce more than u would now with less light (less money on power means more to spend on other parts of the garden)
