Tons of white hairs - No buds

Hi all... My names is Rusty.. been a long time reader , but first time grower. hehe...

working on my first grow , have read tons of posts on this site and its really good and helped me out a lot.

I am doing a Soil Grow
Pro mix soil
600 w hps
4 x 4 grow tent
6' duct exhaust fan
10' desk fan
small space heater on a thermostat
pure blend bloom
ph water to 5.5 - 6.0 (before nut)
MTL gold .. ???
temps between 19 - 25 c
3 gal pot


well I have been flowering for about 5.5 weeks now... lots of bud sites, and TONS of white hairs, but no real (what I would call bud) forming .. anyone know if this is normal...

those are buds, just not very big. I guess my question would be if it is getting 12 hours of UNINTERUPTED darkness ?
That means, no peaking in to check on the plant, no bathroom light coming on in the middle of the night, no errant LED lights from electronic equipment in the room. What bloom nutrients are you using?

Nope. I have never open tent with light off. Only light on.. And it's very dark in there. No light leaks as far as I can tell. How long into flowering should those white hairs be disappearing ?
 
i am useing the genral hydroponics (Spelled wrong) i bought a box that had a hole kit in it.. also some nutrition x bloom and some other stuff i got for free from the store blue crystle looking stuff high number -35-15 for super bloom.. if you look n my grow journl in my sig you can see the nutes i used i took picks of the all
 
Well I just noticed its a little low.. About 4.0 . Last watering I got it upto 5.5 with the pure bloom mixed in. Hopefully that helps. Never thought about phing water after mixing nutes in. Always did it before.. Could b a nube mistake. Haha.
 
some programs you wil need to adjust some advance you dont,, i never do well i did at first but it was always the same ,,, i use what i call guesstameants cap fulls... i am doing a budget grow.. 100 bucks was my budget used 70 of it,, so meausering cups not aloted started with 1 cap of each then moved to 2

Your PH still HAS to be in range.
 
Not sure what strain you have. It looks lanky like a sativa but the leaves are wide like and indica. Once the white hairs start to whither and turn orange or brown, the calyxes will swell into false seeds pods and will provide your buds some body.

Thanks for all the input.. I am deff gonna get some ph up and make sure it's 6.5 after mixing nutes. Thanks you all again. Ill let ya know how she gose .
 
Those are buds. Be patient, those white hairs will turn orange and the calyxes will swell up, engulf them, the trichomes will begin to degrade and turn amber and it'll be time to chop. :)
 
Looks perfectly normal to me...


Could well be strain dominate genetics playing a role here, sativa take longer to form buds than of an indica with a shorter flowering time !


Expect another 4 to 6 weeks of flowering tho :thumb:

I was wondering how long to flower for.. How long normally for a sativa to flower ? Have been 5.5 weeks so far....
Not sure if its a sativa but seems like it.
