Time To Start Purple Mystic, Tidal Wave And JMF

To start with I inoculated the Purple Mystic and Tidal Wave yesterday so we have a couple week for the mycelium to develop and grow. If you are wondering I am still using the cold method for inoculation. I need to make a video to show what I am doing and how I do it.

Since I started playing with cold inoculation about 9 months ago; I have been completely free of contaminates. Is it because contaminates don't do well at lower temperatures? Anyways, it works for me, even if it is unorthodox way to inoculate grain jars.

Still early, so not much for images just yet, but they are coming. I will post the inoculation temperature reading a little later.

Slow start, but it always is.

Stay safe and grow well my friends,

Thank you for stopping by @Waywardwayne

Cold inoculation is something I have been working on for the last year. My reasoning is contaminates/mold requires a little higher temperature to multiple which is the same as normal inoculation temperature. So, I have been inoculating at temperatures in the low 50's and low 60's. I have run at least 6 or 7 different spores inoculation this way with no issues at all.

This may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it works for me.

Stay safe and grow well my friend,
Tok..
