friends say they are ready to flip. I say not
there is other personal reasons that I will not go into as well

One looks like it has a health issue. Other than that I see no reason not to flip. Besides airflow, i dont understand why people grow 3 foot plants and defoliate the lower half. I get spreading it out, but why allow wasted height? I guess some have unlimited vertical space.

I would probably tie them down and flip em.
