These Girls Look Healthy But Growing Slow

hi all,
This is my first grow indoors but 2nd off all. I've done successfull outdoor grow once. I put the 5 seeds in soil at 11th of October. 3 bubble kush and two of them are NL Cheese so it's 22 days from seedling. It's almost 3 weeks but comparing to what I see on peoples journal, 3 week old babies look way longer bigger than mine and they already have the 3rd set of leaves. Mine are look 5 days old comparing to them even they are 22 days old from seed;( I share the photos. Please let me know what you think. Do you guys think everything is ok in my set up? I use the nitrogens accordingly and I use them with 6.2ph water.

I use CFL bulbs. 5x125w 6400k and 1x80w 2700k placed on a frame properly and turned around with a reflective fabric like we do on filming, we call it shower light. Light cycle is 18/6. Thanx in advance
22days

ok now the plants are 5 inches away from the light sources. Do you guys think 5x125w 6400k and 1x80w 2700k will be enough for all their life span? ı am planning to swap 3 of 6400k's with 2700k once they start to flower. and another question as my room is 1.7sqmt2 and the flowers are surrounded with the reflevtive fabric all the way down from lighting frame to almost to their gtound, this way they get proper heat but less air i guess but of course they breathe. Hope they start to grow fastr after making them closer as 5 inches

Thank you Spookies, after i raised the pots under the ligth source sourrounded with the reflective fabric, I hope their grow will be faster. Cause I use 5x125w(500w output each) and 1x80w, which is 2800w of light and more than 250000lumens in a 1,5sqmeters growing area

Are you adjusting your ph? Why are you using hydroponic nutes in soil? Whats the ph of the runoff? White is better than than that mirrored (believe it or not, mirrors absorb more useable light than is reflected) stuff and cfls give off most of their light from the sides, not the end. How often do you water/feed? What's the temp and relative humidity in your setup?
There are several factors to consider in your little setup bro :)

Yeap the ph level of water always around 6.0-6.2.
I tried the same nutes for my previous outdoor grow and they worked just fine, as they are advertised. They are slightly more concentrated than the the ones for soil. I use them very carefully.
For mirror reflect issue I don't agree with you as lighting is my profession. White always absorbs more than mirror and mirror creates more energy and of course heat. White is just white. Mirror pushes up the wavelength to max and that way it reflects more than anything else. And believe me that reflective fabric around that lighting frame is a very expensive one.
The heat in the room is 26c and the humidity is somewhere between 40-50.
I water my plants once a week, and I think it's a bit too much at this stage of the grow.

Unless the mylar is perfectly flat, it won't reflect the light as well as white will. When I used to run hempy buckets, I'd always go for 5.8/5.9 on the ph. If there are amendments in the soil to start off with, itll change the ph as soon as you feed.

Those are my girls now, in soil. Good luck bro :)

Cool. Do you think using a few mirrors if you got em would be even better than foil? I'm not sure on this I am big fan of foil though.

Hi!
I thought using mirrors could cause "hotspots"? I dunno, I guess if you think about it its not any different than the light source itself. Wooah...

I personally used mylar thermal blankets. I used 3M adhesive and stuck it directly to the walls. Makes for a nice crinkle on the wall and diffuses the light so there isn't hotspots.

I guess you could so the same with aluminum foil. However, I would think it would be annoying and rip abunch when you put it up. The mylar is really quite durable. Its one big sheet, so if you do it right it can add some air sealing to your space. Annnnd its a heat blanket so helps keep the heat right where it needs to be.

Just some ramblings on shiny stuff. I like shiny stuff. :volcano-smiley:

Some quick thoughts. Do not use mirrors. White would be preferable for a cfl grow but run with what you've got for now, it will work. The closer to the surface you mount the lights the more they will reflect. I would swap out the 2700k with another 6400k. I'm curious to know if you have fed the plants. It looks to me like something has happened to the roots stunting their growth.

Here is an example of mounting the lights close to the surface. I created this little starter box for solo cup seedlings. It works pretty nice.

Ok, 4th week completed from sprout out and 5 week from seedling. Like I stated before 2 NL cheese and 3 Bubble kush. They look fine to me I wonder what are you guys think? Do you think these girls are going into pre-flower period? So In this case is it correct to expect it to harvest around second week of January ? Thanx in advance

They look nice and appear ready to flip to 12/12 when you are. They can double in size after the flip so plan your grow space requirements accordingly.

I typically don't start counting flower days until 10 days after flip.

Do you think I should switch to 12/12 even with autos? As far as I know autos don't mind 18/6 till the end of their life span. I would love to switch to 12/12 because of electricity bill:)any advice for switching? Some people leave them under darkness for 24 hour before switching?
