TheBlaze: Genesis, Chapter 1, Verse 1

With BD, it's a crapshoot imo. The foxtail ones can pack some weight, the buds are generally solid, and they run for a while. Better than the airy phenos. ;)

The resin usually is there, so it will all hit nice. No one will be upset with it, and if they haven't had a ton of BD, they will like it for a minute. Sour berry stays with it, the smell is pretty much the same across the phenos. Some spice and wood from the more stativa leans. I don't like whatever they used for a Sativa.

I pull them early-ripe, or they get sleepy. Real BD runs ~63 days or less. Had 20 something going at once, and the sativa leans went 77 with some not entirely finished, but the room needed to be cleared. I didn't save a single one, didn't smoke any of it, and haven't grown it since.

Now maybe I didn't get them right, but that's my tale. :Namaste:

Thanks man

I suspect that if I ran as many as you did, I would have the same tale. ;)

UPDATE

Day 62 of 12/12

The blue dream to the extreme left (bottom) is being harvested tomorrow. Can't believe we are finally here.

You have a moose cock in there, wow!
Very nice blaze .

First time I've heard that one.

Do u think u will yield more on the untopped plant or the ones that were topped and trained

That's a tough one to answer Jgrow, as there are different strains and different phenos of the same strains. I can tell you that I think the 2 biggest yielding plants in the tent will probably be the 2 large strawberry amnesias on the right on the first pic. One is topped and the other is not. I firmly believe in topping though.

HARVEST

One down, 7 to go.

Blue dream taken at 63 days of 12/12. About 90% cloudy, 5% amber and 5% clear.

She smelled amazing when I was trimming her up. Like berry cough drops, with a bit of skunk thrown in for good measure. She won't yield much, about 70 - 80g, but I think she will be a treat to smoke.

Nice job Blaze. Wanted to ask about how you decided to flush and chop, to apply to my own situation.

To get that trichome profile, when did you decide to flush? I waited later to get more couch lock on my indicas but wanted balance on my hybrids. I figure I'm about 50/50 or 75/25 cloudy/glassy. Ambers only on leaves, not any on calyxes yet. My hairs are probably 50/50 brown and white at the top, maybe 1/4 brown and 3/4 white at the lower buds. I'm in coco so I want to flush about a week. They're at 56F so 8 weeks in, and breeder said 9-10 weeks. I'm thinking I may have to start flushing in the next week, and that they have about 2 weeks left. Just wanted to see if you had thoughts.

Thanks man

I start flushing about 7 to 10 days before harvest. I try for closer to 10 than 7, but you don't always get it right. If you wait to around 80% cloudy, you will normally spot a few trichs just starting to turn amber. That is when I start flushing.

Thanks Blaze. I'm definitely not far off then. I'm so excited to harvest, it's hard to be patient. I think I'll take them days apart in any case to see if there's a difference in effects.

When you do decide to flush Dobe, measure your run off ppm, coco holds on to nutes for a long while and the buds will continue to mature from what's left in the plant cells as well. I like the fan leaves to go yellow, that's a clear indication that there are no nutrients left in the plant. Nice clean smooth smoke. Generally all the hairs have gone brown and or swallowed by the buds when I see 20-30% amber.
I would go another week from your description then flush into the 10th week.

HARVEST

Tutankhamon taken at 64 days of 12/12

First, a photo of the 2 new plants added to the flower tent to replace the 2 girls I've harvested.

On to the harvest photos. She smelled of pink lemonade and green apple. Probably one of the nicest smelling strains I've ever had. I think these plasma lights are definitely bringing the terps.

Beautiful, keep the ball rolling bud, that's some nice looking buds.
How much heat from the plasma? Any more than 1000 hps?

Thanks brother

No, the plasmas don't give off too much heat. Even though I am running into heat problems now. Had to turn the 1000w DE down to 750w 2 days ago. Got portable AC hooked up in the room now, which is helping. My big room (the one I had built) is finally done now. Now I just have to find the motivation to move everything in there. Will have to wait until after I harvest the next 6 plants. Too much work. You know how that goes. ;)

UPDATE

Day 65 and day 1 of 12/12

Still too hot in that tent, even with the portable AC in that room. Might need to move the flowering tent into the big air-conditioned room sooner than I had hoped. Tough decision man.

Anyway, the 2 new purple envy's are doing well after their first 12 hour dark session. First time they've ever experienced lights out of any kind. The veg tent runs 24/0.
