TheBlaze: Genesis, Chapter 1, Verse 1

Finally got her hooked up and powered up.

Here is a quick pic. When I took the photo it was still warming up.

Thanks JC

Hoping to see an improvement with the new lights soon. Have to hook up the DE light today.

Hung the 1000w DE light and took down the other LED. Had to rearrange the girls so that the tall girls don't fry under that new light. It is hot!!

Looks great Blaze! I'm hoping for a nice boost through the rest of flower myself and was working through the heat implications last night too. Funny how these additions come with trade offs. Seems like it's a constant balancing act to get as close to ideal as possible. You have your tents in a dedicated area right? Do you find having a dedicated build out for your grow helps in the environment management?

You are exactly right Dobewan. Everything comes with a price. It seems ludicrous to throw so much money at just trying to find a balance, but that is really all there is to it. In a few weeks, I will have to start running AC in that room as well.

The room I had built is standing empty now. Too many problems in there. So now I utilize one wing of a house. The room I had built will get a test run in the next few months. Needs proper waterproofing, and a good clean before I will attempt to use it again. I miss the AC in that room. A big 26 000 btu climate control unit.

Thanks Skoon. Hopefully they pack it on properly over the next 3 weeks now.

UPDATE

Day 40 of 12/12

The smaller more indica girls will be done in about 25 days, maybe a few days longer.

I'm happy with most of them, except the blue dreams. Found what looked like an immature nanner on the big blue dream. Snipped it off and ate it. Didn't find any others.

I still maintain that the 2 big strawberry amnesias will be big yielders. They are not even half way done yet.

There will be some big changes in the flower tent this weekend. I'm very excited. Xmas is coming early :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thanks Scrogster, and welcome.

Pat, I think the cobs are a better buy anyway bud. 8 of those and you will be rocking it out the park.

UPDATE

Day 44 of 12/12

About 3 weeks left on most of the smaller girls.

Apologies for the lighting in the photos. My phone usually auto-corrects the white balance and removes the HPS glare, but no such luck with the new lights.

Talking about the lights... I fucken love them! Can already see a difference. Most plants are pushing plenty of new white pistils, and I can see a noticeable swell in the buds. Even the blue dreams are staging a come back.

I'm very happy with my new purchases. Can't wait to hang the second plasma light.

Thanks bud!

I would have preferred a perfect grow. LOL! All's well that ends well though.

I'm really hoping for a big finish with the new lights.

Good to have you here.

Love all the frostiness there. :thumb:

My only Blue Dream atm is limping along through veg as well...granted Im purposely stuntng them to slow down my cycle to let the Mango Widows have time time to finish, but I havent really had to do anything at all to the bd...she's just slowwwww all on her own.

:peacetwo:

Thanks Mouser

I must check out your journal again. I want to see those mango widows man. Sounds tasty AF

I've had the pleasure of both strains separately, but together I can only imagine a spicy fruitiness that I would have to taste in a dab. Yup, I'd squish it NO doubt.

I always enjoy pictures my friend so here's my ladies. Bring ON the bush. Oh man, too easy right there. :)

Plain water only and Wednesday back to the beginning.

Those are some really beautiful plants. You can see they are loving life. :thumb:

I was thinking of killing the nuts with one stone brother. Two HLG320 1400ma drivers. 12 Vero29's at 3500k and 90cri, apparently 90cri loses a bit of lumens, but produces much more dense and fat ass colas. 600w in a 1.5m x 1.5m tent. If I spend 15k I would be pleased.

Do it Pat!! I would be keen to see that man.

BTW, I picked up my second plasma light yesterday but haven't had a chance to hang it yet. Don't know if I can do it tonight either. It's kind of a 2 man job. Problems... LOL!

LoL brother that 600w of COBs will be a beast. Already got pricing from Rapid LED in US, looks like it is going to be better purchasing everything there and shipping it in. The cost over here from DigiKey and Mouser is running R10050 about with the drivers, cobs, all the other things except the frame and heatsinks. Just got pricing from Rapid and the cost is R10060 with everything, except the aluminium angle for making the frame. That is everything included except the frame. Those heatsinks would have cost me alot to import anyway because I can't get decent ones here. I will go with all 90cri bulbs. I can run 6 on each driver. Should be competing with 1000w HPS, maybe even kicking ass though. Now to just get the funds brother
