TheBlaze: Genesis, Chapter 1, Verse 1

UPDATE

Day 25

I repotted all the girls into 5 gal smart pots. What a mission. Took me 6 hours of back breaking work.

They were definitely root bound. Thick white roots wrapped all around the inside of the pots. Made it very easy to pop them out of the smaller pots. I'm hoping they take off now in their new homes.

The larger Blue Dream. She is a heavy feeder. While the other plants are turning a dark shade of green, she still looks hungry.

Thanks Jgrow. They are still recovering from their dry spell though, so they could look better.

I'm about 2 months behind schedule on this grow, so I will have to flip in 7 days. Let's hope they find their feet quickly.

Yield will suffer for sure, but I should still get at least 600g. I can work with that.

For me, pre treating the coco and then squeezing the water out until its damp and then up potting takes the most time. It's the thing I look forward to the least. Then after that it's their final pots and it's not too bad from there.

I always stay up a few hours too late and am really tired the next day. I usually won't wait until a weekend either so right to work the next morning feeling sore and exhausted. You'd think I'd learn by now to wait and do it the night of a weekend....

Yeah, I hear you bud. I worked yesterday until 2pm as well. Still had to mix the perlite into the coco. Then fill the pots. Then the whole process of flushing, then peroxide, then charging with calmag and pH corrected water. Sheesh...I'm getting tired just thinking of it now. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Mini update

No photos, but girls are looking good. Only issue now is that they are drinking their pots bone dry in a 24 hour period. Not good. Gave them more feed this morning, but I'm going back tonight to feed them again and pick up my perlite. Will start prepping tomorrow for their transplant. Will have to happen sooner than expected. I can't be going to the site twice a day. It's just not physically possible. So they need the bigger pots so they don't drain them dry.
Ha, welcome to my world. Been there many times.

Welcome Miller! It's been a while bud.

I'm glad the girls are in the their big pots now. Can regulate feed/water intake and humidity better now.

Yep, I took almost 8 months off, appt growing sucks. My GG smelled so good I was getting weekly walk throughs (whole complex, 300 units). I finally got tired of breaking down all equipment and renting a u-haul to stash it in, then reset up. But now we got a house with backyards and 2 car garage. I'll be up and running in a few weeks. It should be cooling off in SA soon, cuz its getting hot here.

That sounds like a much better spot for your hobby. Congrats on the new place bud.

It is definitely cooling down here. It's cold in the evenings and mornings, but during the day it still gets up to 26 deg C. Going to clean up my cooltube soon and put that in the tent.

Thanks Shiggs! Stick around for the update in 10 min. I have a big smile on my dial. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Looks like the girls have settled into their new homes already. Just 16 hours and I can see a noticeable improvement already. I'm really happy! They have 6 days left to put on some size and then I will flip. I can't wait man.

New 1000w cooltube installed. I'm hoping the girls drink it up.

Are you using any sort of pre flower nutes? One week out is when I'll start my PF Nutes. Cheers

No, I just use Nutriplex which is basically GH flora Series. In fact, I will continue with veg nutes regimen (just amped up) a week into 12/12 to help boost stretch.

Ok, I believe you now top your plants. I've been using FF open sesame and I see a difference. It seems to open sites on stems similar to topping. If you top as well, it helps fill out lower sites. Very inexpensive, might be worth a try.

Cheers

We can't get fox farms here in SA miller. Also, I use chem nutes and I'm always a little hesitant to mix organic and chem. I assume the product you refer to is organic??

Its Organic, some of their stuff has trace minerals that pulls it out of the Organic classification. But I forgot about SA not getting FF. Its a shame, but someday it will all be aboveground.

Cheers
