It isn't fancy. It isn't pretty. It does get the job done.
What you need is:
1 extension cord (get a new one so the sockets fit tight)
2 plug to light socket adaptors
2 socket Y adaptors
4 CFL bulbs (no they don't have to be all alike)
some mylar
some cardboard (double layer or thick. The stiffer the better)
some glue to attach the mylar to the cardboard
and a paper clip thingy
First decide how big you want it and cut the cardboard a couple inches smaller.
Cut the mylar the size you want the reflector.
Glue the mylar to the cardboard hanging over the edges equally.
Draw an x on the cardboard to locate the center.
Mark a goalpost shape mark like the picture shows. (The plug needs to fit through the hole)
Cut on the goalpost lines.
Push the plug through from the mylar side.
When the socket is up to the mylar, slide the cord into the slot.
Assemble everything.
Now ... what is that paperclip thingy for?
Toss the cord over your closet rod or through a hook and clip it back to itself. Yes, the clip is the super deluxe height adjuster.
Plug it in.
Use this at your own risk. It is your responsibility don't blame somebody else if things go wrong.
I have used several of them for over a year. A couple of them have crispy mylar behind the bulbs from the heat.
