The SCROG - My First

This is going to be my first journal and my first time scrog..I already started my grow but I will post new pics every week and I will be asking question along the way..First of I'm using 2 cardboard boxes bolted together with the inside painted white..My lights are cfl''s and I am using a dryer vent tube cut in half for a wing..I have 3 sockets mounted along the tube..the 1st socket the one on the left,I have a splitter with 1 45w 6500k pointed toward the middle and on the outside is a 23w 6500k..the socket in the mid del does not have a splitter it is 1 45w 2700k and the 3rd one the one on the right is a splitter with one 45w 6500k on the inside and on the outside is a 23w 6500k..on the right side with the 2 bigger plants I have a double socket hanging with 1 23w 2700k and a 23w 6500k to help with the bigger ones.

And theses are my plants tomorrow they will be 3 weeks old..I also forgot about light school mine is 18hrs light 6hrs dark..I planted both theses at the same time and I fim'd them too when I transplanted them to the 2 gallon buckets that was a little over a week ago..the bad thing is I have no idea what they are..

I found some pre flowers a couple days ago but I can't tell what they are yet..I plan on letting this plants grow another week then I'm gonna transplant them into a 5 gal bucket and put the scrog screen on then I will let them grow another week after I transplant then I will put them into flower...the little one I don't think it's gonna make it..the bottom leaves are turning yellow and I haven't gave it any nuts at all..just pH water at 6.8

Here are the nuts I am useing..and the soil I used but when I transplant them into the 5gal bucket I'm gonna use Ocean forest soil..

That's all I have for now but I will be posting new pics ever week and will be asking for help...if I'm doing something wrong or if I could do it a different way please tell me you won't hurt my feelings..I Wana grow good quality stuff..

Looks good, on the little guy what is your ph runoff? The soil looks really wet don't over water if you can help it.

I would ph your water to 6.5 depending on your runoff. 6.5 is ideal.

Yeah that's what my problem is my run off is like 7.5...should I flush it till I get the pH to 6.5

That's high, probably locking out a few things. Personally I would flush it because it can't do more harm than good.

Figure if you flush it, get your ph where it should be closer to 6.5 for soil..in a week she will thank you. Especially once you feed her, don't go over 50% strength for the first few is what I've been told as well.

Others with more exp will chime in but you need to get the ph in check.

And when I flush it..it is a 2 gallon pot so I should run 4 gal of water through it right

Yeah double or triple the volume for a flush. At the tail end of the 4th gallon pull a sample and PH it. That will give you an idea of where you're at, if you need to do another gallon or stop.

Make sure you have good ventilation so that soaked soil drys out without causing you more problems.

I use the same nutes and the ocean forest soil with added perlite. My runoff is around 6.4-6.5 though and it's always been that way. I try to ph as close to 6.5 though every time maybe that's why

Too soon to tell. Those are not the preflowers yet, you will know because of the pistils that shoot out. Give it a lil more time.

Edit.

I just noticed you are still in 18/6. You won't see pre flowers until around a week after you flip your lights to 12/12.

Fiveslow87 try some lst low stress training that's what I didn't are one of the big leaves on the top of your plant and pull in down to the side of the pot and tape that leave to the pot.I used scotch tabe..you want it to were it is sideways so all the under growth will grow to the light...there is other methods you can use but that is what I did and if I was you and you haven't yet I defently would it works...look at mine that's how they got so bushy...I have lower growth almost to the top of my canopy

18 days since they popped above soil. Been running 18/6 light cycle

She is 16 days old here. Today I just topped/FIM at day 18.

So I tried to flush my little plant and the run off is still high 7 didn't even go down..I ran 4 gal of 6.5 ph water through a 2 gal pot

They are getting big..the little one I didn't think it was gone make it the leaves on the bottom were turning yellow so I flushed it out and now it is looking better..

Could the lower leaves turning yellow be a Nitrogen deficiency, do you think? Or were you thinking it was a pH issue?

I think it was a pH problem..I was watering at 6.5 and the run off was in the 8....so I flushed it then the last gallon I pH to 5.0 and when I checked it it was 7.1...and it looks better..

Just wanted to give you guys an update..plants are growing like crazy and today they are 23 days old..they are really out growing them pots..another week then I'm gonna transplant them into 5 gal pots..one of the pots is a smart pot first time using one of them..I'm gonna see the difference in the pots...also in them pics are those pre flowers???
