Hi jimdog... more questions, Please ask ask ask. Grate questions Grate answers. They have motivated me review the oil threads now.

:thankyou:

Woody...... Breathtaking photos. Thank you so much for sharing them. You knew instinctively that I'd be thrilled to have them posted. :hugs::Love:

We all acknowledge that my journals are a bit much to keep pace with. No one will ever take offense if you only spot check. :laughtwo: I accept that we have many members who can't deal with the long winded responses. That's why I go out of my way to include lots of pretty pictures.

I have the dreaded Russet mites. Thank you for the recommendation. I'll track some down. Have you ever tried predatory mites?

For that matter, has ANYONE here tried predatory mites?

I'm thrilled to hear the kitten's doing well. :slide:  :slide:

Been a while since I peeked in.
Is it just me, or is DDA2 a fat-ass? Her buds look extra round.

Yes indeed Tead. She's looking downright fat-assed. :laughtwo: I have to admit, inept as I was at controlling the neuts, she's got the richest color and densest buds of any DDA I've grown to date.

I wanted to thank you for inspiring me to try this. I learned it's not for me, at least during this stage of my development. I'd like to revisit it in the future. I'm done with the meter. :battingeyelashes:

I'm off to try a new social gathering, a coffee and discussion group that meets at the library every other Monday, but before I go I wanted to drop these two pictures in.

Carnival: Day 83 (Flip + 3)

She's thirsty today. I'll take care of that when I get back.

Later guys. :ciao:

Daily Update: Carnival #2, Day 83

Time for a drench. This one is a TransWater.

Each of these branches has 4-6 offshoots. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Let me reconfigure this a bit, see if I can get her to spread out more.

image18567.jpeg

There ya go. :battingeyelashes: Took me all of two minutes to make that happen.

image18568.jpeg

That brought everyone down just a tad more, which raised a couple in the center, giving me a reason to do some supercropping on them for additional strength going forward.

I'm happier with her filling out the footprint

image18577.jpeg

The temp spike was the time I was at the library this morning. I forgot to open up the apartment. The past few days it was cool enough outside that I had to have the place closed up, and today we're back into the 70s.

image18578.jpeg

Alright Duggan. Ready for inspection. :hugs:

Adventures in cloning: second round, Carnival #2 cuts

Today was day three, so they each got opened up to check for roots and moisture. There's no expectation of roots. It's the hydration I'm checking for at this point.

image18573.jpeg

image18574.jpeg

This was the only one not standing in water, so I added a bit more RO water and closed her back up.

image18575.jpeg

Back in their waiting area. I'll check in another three days.

Magical Butter 2

If you order the Magical Butter machine through this link you can save $25. That should save you shipping cost, if I'm not mistaken. I've never had to pay shipping cost to get them to me, and I thank you all for that, as do the other families enjoying my extra machines. I hesitated to offer this, because they also give me $25 every time someone uses this link to purchase one of these fabulous machines. That makes me a bit uneasy, but I decided that if I get any money from this it's all going into supplies for research projects and experimentation for the study hall anyway, and I feel strongly that every serious canna kitchen should have a machine on hand.

It kinda felt like a "meant to be" moment, since I found their email with the link as I was pulling my machine out for a canna oil run later today. I don't believe in coincidence, and so I offer you the link.

Whether or not you use this link, consider purchasing one of these marvelous devices. The first time you prepare the medicinal oils you won't look back. I've not yet tried tinctures with it. Not a big fan of tinctures.

We, as a group of cannabis warriors, do not recommend the Magical Butter machine for making Concentrated Cannabis Oil (CCO). Quality suffers, and you work too hard to grow this medicine to settle for anything less than the best you can produce. It is, however, invaluable for the production of butters and infused oil extractions. The sweet yet savory bouquet of an infused coconut oil is now one of my favorite things in the world. I was up at 4:30 this morning filling capsules with the oil I made in the MB2 using my CBD Critical Mass, the plant that had me drooling the entire time she was in flower. I couldn't wait to finish the capsules so I could have the final pipette as a reward. :laughtwo:

Quite frankly, the Magical Butter 2 machine takes much of the heavy work out of making oils and butters. Toss it all in, turn it on and walk away. Believe me, you'll know when it's done. :laughtwo: The alarm is relentless, which is a very good thing. We're all still looking for the perfect way to press it, and just the other day Canna Montana showed how easy it was with a particular coffee press. Somewhere a few days back Habitual shared it with us here. I'll track it down later. That addition took most of the rest of the heavy work and probably most of the mess out of the process too. I'm excited about trying one.

Hmmmmm..... :hmmmm: Maybe I'd be better advised to wait until I can get a press later this week.

Excellent idea. I'll pack all this away and get it out this weekend when I have a press. :slide:

Alrighty then, back to garden chores. Later guys. :ciao:

Tonight, instead of my regular THC capsule I opted to try out the CBD Critical Mass again. It's a 1:1 ratio, and our perceptions remain that we won't get high with the balanced strains. I'll grant you, it's not the sativa high I crave nonstop, but it's quite a decent buzz in its own right.

I spend much time over at Green Flower Media, studying through their courses and just reading. They're really big about responsible cannabis consumption and they speak a lot about consuming with intent. What's your intent when you pull out the stash?

I keep coming back to my intent is to get as righteously high as possible. :laughtwo: Ok, Ok, there are times when it's also about some pain reduction, but even then it's also about seeing how high I can get at this sitting. Lol! I don't know about you, but when I reach for the stash I'm ready to get blasted. It's nice to be at the point in my life where this is a regular option.

I guess I'm never gonna fit into somebody's little mold, am I? :blunt:

Mold, schmold. :partyboy:

Heheh, normal is simply boring. You can find normal any old place. Besides, people have been telling me that I'm not normal all my life. It must their fault if I don't fit a mold, right? :hmmmm:

Actually, I lied. I like to get loaded and watch normal people. You find some of the most fascinating odd ones amongst 'em.

:bongrip: I'm a social scientist - yeah, that's it. It's all for science. :Namaste:

Daily Update: Monday, October 17, 2016

 Forgot I had this to post.

Let's start in the tiny closet today. There's clone #3 (Day 7) tucked out of the way to one side.....

image18581.jpeg

....and 4, 5 and 6 (Day 4) tucked into the other side.

image18582.jpeg

Dark Devil Auto 4 (Day 55) The first thing I do is give her a 1/4 turn under the light.

image18583.jpeg

image18584.jpeg

image18585.jpeg

image18586.jpeg

She might surprise me and finish in another ten days. I'll be surprised if that happens.

image18587.jpeg

Into the auto tent. Time to give the DDA2 another flush.

image18588.jpeg

image18589.jpeg

image18590.jpeg

Look at the size of these colas!

image18591.jpeg

Back into the tent.

image18592.jpeg

The majority of the trichomes are still clear, but the change is starting.

image18593.jpeg

Early Miss (Day 34)

Clone #2 (Day 10)

image18599.jpeg

image18600.jpeg

The clones got switched around and Early Miss got a 1/4 turn. Good to go for another day.

image18601.jpeg

Whew! Some days it seems a much longer stroll, doesn't it?

In a couple days the DDA2 will come down. :slide: I'll be more careful with this one than I was with the last DDA harvest. I'm pleased with how it's gone and I'm looking forward to testing her.

I'm beat guys. Too many late, late nights in a row. I'm turning in for the night. Hopefully this doesn't mean I'll wake up at 4 AM raring to go. :laughtwo: I'll catch up in the morning. :hugs:

:Namaste:
