The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

Just what I thought. My most favorite prize. Hehe! :yahoo:

image18111.jpeg

I've barely broken in my old one.

image18112.jpeg

Oh look! A purple jar! :woohoo: In my world purple is the color of love, the basis for all that Joy I keep promoting. How wonderful to get a purple one with this prize.

image18113.jpeg

It's packed away, at least until my next harvest of a size that will allow concentrates. We're not legal for recreational in PA. It's not something I can run out and buy. When I take the Dark Devil Autos down I'll have enough to play. Wax...... Yummy!

Thank you VaporBrothers.

That's ok Duggan, I know someone with an extra who just might be meeting you in the not-so-distant future. :dreamy: We can easily amend that oversight. I only need one. I'll just switch out the jars so I keep the purple one. I know you didn't mention it to get this offer, but the offer is wholeheartedly extended and I expect you to accept it. :battingeyelashes:

Daily Update: Friday, October 7, 2016

Good evening. Time for out stroll through the spaces. Let's start in the auto tent, shall we? Look in' pretty good in there from my vantage point.

image18125.jpeg

Early Miss (Day 24) She's filling out the pot nicely. I got in there and extended the restraints further out the branches and pegged a couple more down.

image18139.jpeg

image18128.jpeg

Dark Devil Auto 3 (Day 45) I turned her to get more of her back under the light. She's getting huge! I topped off her SWICK reservoir too.

image18129.jpeg

image18130.jpeg

image18131.jpeg

Dark Devil Auto 2 (Day 55) I've burned her bad. I'm hoping to keep her going for the next ten days. By then she should be ready to go. I can't torment her any longer. She's really starting to pack on the weight too.

It just occurred to me that this one needs flushed. At what point does one start the flush? She's ten days out right now, give-or-take. Wouldn't I be starting that soon? I'd be real happy to hear that. Time to do a bit of research.

image18146.jpeg

image18132.jpeg

Dark Devil Auto 4 (Day 45) Just a beautiful plant. What more can I say?

image18133.jpeg

Perfect height. She won't get much taller now, just bulkier.

image18134.jpeg

image18135.jpeg

image18136.jpeg

image18137.jpeg

I see ounces of potential. :battingeyelashes:

image18138.jpeg

That's everyone except Carnival, but she gets her own update now, so that's already been covered. Thank you for swinging through to check up on us. Having company makes gardening even more pleasurable.

It's been a delightful day. I got Callanetics in, so I'm feeling pretty darned powerful right now. Lol! Time to find some chow. I keep forgetting to fuel up. Haha! It's easy to get lost in the work, isn't it? Go to check on the girls and before you know it it's been an hour of puttering.

I'll be turning in early tonight, so I don't know how much wandering I'll do this evening, but I do hope to get to visit with a few of you before the day's end. I'll be seeing you in the yards.

:Namaste:

Everything is quicker in hydro. Ten days seems a bit much. IMHO five days would be more than enough.
If I were planning a 5 day flush, I'd flush it with clear water (still ph'd) at day one of the flush, then again about 1/2 way thru.
Many folks like to try to dry out their plant at the end. This can be done in hempy buckets by draining the res as much as possible. Try to get as much water out as you can. I can usually tip the bucket near horizontal as I support the plant.

Oh SweetSue I see ounces of potential too ! Looking good girl friend! :goodjob:

After talking with Duggan I sent Doc Bud a request for the KIT ! Yep Ole Rooster1 wants to have some fun too! Wanted to share that with you this morning, have yourself a blessed day and fill it with joy, I have....:volcano-smiley:

Well, that just tickled me pink Rooster. :high-five: I predict happier harvests in your future. :laughtwo: I look forward to seeing your own astonishment at how your seeds perform in this soil mix. Welcome to the HB family. :hugs:

Thank you so much for this information Tead. You've been a gracious mentor throughout this experiment where we learned I made the right choice of medium for me in living organic soils. I honestly thought it would be easier to get a handle on. I come away from this experience with a much greater appreciation for what those of you that work in bottled nutrients live with. My hat's off to you. My soil is a plant, water, harvest system. I amend because I'm too lazy to dig out the root ball and start again, that's how lazy I am at this. :laughtwo:

I don't regret trying. It gave me an experience I'd been curious about for over two years. Now it's behind me. I also accept that I did this with an auto, when a photo would have been more appropriate to the system. We all had fun watching me be frustrated. Lol! We all survived too, always a good thing. :battingeyelashes:

daily hugs Sue :hugs: :hugs: love you girl

Hi all
Enjoy your gifts they look awesome :) Need to get me one of those too :thumb:

Hugs, darling girl. :hugs::hugs: :Love:

They come highly recommended. It's small enough to be perfectly discreet and hold just enough for a small outing, if you don't take the silicon jar. If you have the concentrates, I recommend taking the jar. :cheesygrinsmiley: I love taking this with me when I go out walking. Nothing sweeter than getting to the turn-around point and stopping to refresh the buzz.

Daily Update: Carnival #2, Day 74

I found a level of confidence today that had me supercropping as much for building strength as for canopy control. I'm super impressed with the increase in strength in the branches that've already recovered from their supercropping sessions.

She's growing in power. She's almost to purring stage. :laughtwo:

image18147.jpeg

Just a few adjustments are called for.

image18148.jpeg

I started working on the inner colas.

image18149.jpeg

image18150.jpeg

We're up to 15 set ones, and I can see the five more we need rising up. About another week or so she's gonna be ready to flip. She has two TransWater drenches scheduled next. I figure she'll be ready to go by the time she's dry enough for the second one, so closer to 10 days. Gettin' close. :slide:

image18151.jpeg

She got a nice foliar of 1/2 strength DeStress.

image18152.jpeg

image18153.jpeg

All ready for your inspection Duggan. :hugs:

Very nice Sue,...keeping things even across the top is the most important thing right now. You are staying on top of that , so it's great to see! As you said another 10 days or so should be long enough , but we'le see. Everything is looking proper for a huge premium harvest! Stay the course bud! Your doing fantastic! Have a great Saturday SS and Gang!:circle-of-love::Namaste:

SUCCESS!!!

Two of the six are rooted!!! :yahoo: :slide: :yahoo:

One just started, so it and the other four got repositioned closer to the light.

image18155.jpeg

image18163.jpeg

image18156.jpeg

image18159.jpeg

image18160.jpeg

They were just potted up. I'll be giving them a TransWater drench and setting them in the tiny closet for now, down in the shadows for a day or two. I'll give them a DeStress foliar too.

One more step in my training successfully achieved. They turned out beautiful. TOAST made this too easy. I don't think I'll be building a bubble cloner.

Watch out boys. Here I come. :hugs:

Congrats on the roots sue.
I'm curious tho, why are the to be clones sooo huge? How long did it take to root?
I ask because ive only heard/read/and experienced successful cloning with cuttings that have less then 2 nodes.

Time to check in on everyone else.

Starting with the auto tent.

Around the corner and into the tiny closet, which is overflowing with Dark Devil Auto 4 (Day 44) Let me step back and be quiet while we take in her magnificence.

image18087.jpeg

Yeah, she kinda takes my breath away. When she's done packing these blossoms on this is gonna be one hefty mama. :slide: I have no idea if color effects potency. I wouldn't think so, other than the mind games we play assuming the color adds to the effect, but then, those colors are attributable to the presence of certain flavinoids that obviously aren't present in this phenotype. Interesting. I certainly hope my largest yielding plant will match the potency of her cousins growing just around the bend.

I'm counting on her basic genetics to come roaring through.

Well, that's my girls this morning. I'd forgotten how freeing it is to get these chores done first thing in the day. Now the day is mine to do as I please from this point on. There's a good argument that all my days are free, but we know the reality is that when I put this off until later in the day (usually so I can tend to posting) I feel rushed about getting it done. I like this approach better. I'll make more effort to continue in this stream.

Thanks for swinging by and checking up on us. Your presence lends more joy to the day's expression, and we all know there can never be enough joyful expression, so get out there people. Spread that joy around. :hugs:

:Namaste:

The color may affect it. I'm pretty certain that the purple in DDA is from Pakistani chitral kush. And pck has a green pheno and a purple one with the green one being a bit more potent. Who knows though, as there are several different strains in her that all add to the whole.

Sent from this funny device I carry around and still call a phone even though I hardly ever make calls with it.

Congrats on the roots sue.
I'm curious tho, why are the to be clones sooo huge? How long did it take to root?
I ask because ive only heard/read/and experienced successful cloning with cuttings that have less then 2 nodes.

I'm completely new to cloning really. My previous attempt lacked focus and real motivation, so I don't even count it. These cuts were taken from the tips of the branches of the Carnival I culled to make room for the one I'm running. In a move of whimsy I simply cut them and stuck them into the plugs with some rooting hormone and water with aloe vera gel. After three days I added a little more water to them with a tiny splash of Agsil 16 to help emulsify the aloe and a teeny splash of Full-Power fulvic acid. That's all they got, and it took exactly nine days to get to this point.

During those nine days they got opened twice and ignored the rest of the time. If these take to the dirt well, and I have no reason to believe otherwise, they'll be way ahead of the game. There's some nice secondary growth that should begin to grow in earnest again.

If I weren't so lazy and had studied cloning before I made this bold move I probably would have cut them down to a smaller size, but look - I went in wide-eyed and optimistic and it worked! :laughtwo:

I couldn't be more tickled. And I have four more coming right behind. I may have to figure out how to get them flowering somewhere along the line. I could have an assembly line of Carnivals if I had more tent space.

You put a big, stupid smile on my face reading that Morglie. :laughtwo: I hope you're right. It'd be nice to have a more potent one to play with. She's gonna be the big producer too. She has the look of 3-4 ounces from where I'm standing. She's got another 20-30 days to go.

Daily Update: Autos, Saturday, October 8, 2016

Good evening everyone. Time to check in on the charges. The auto tent reeks of Dark Devil Auto. :slide:

image18187.jpeg

image18179.jpeg

Early Miss (Day 25) I left her completely alone today.

image18180.jpeg

Dark Devil Auto 2 (Day 56) Those colas are getting huge! I'm more hopeful about her than I was a week ago, that's for sure. Poor thing

image18181.jpeg

Dark Devil Auto 3 (Day 46) This plant is the same age as the one in the tiny closet. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the one in the closet will go longer than this one. This one may finish up around 65 days. Impressive as hell.

image18182.jpeg

Her counterpart, Dark Devil Auto 4 (Day 46) You see what I mean? No way will she be ready to take down in another 30 days.

image18183.jpeg

image18184.jpeg

image18185.jpeg

image18186.jpeg

It'll be interesting to see what I get out of the three. They should hold me until the Carnival harvest. I think I'll follow up the hempy with a small pot auto, just to use the slot and get something exotic going. Maybe a couple azalea pots with a couple budscicles. I still have at least another ten days to decide.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope your day was filled with joy and you found many opportunities to share that with those around you. It makes the days pass so delightfully, doesn't it? Our Canadian members are celebrating their Thanksgiving this weekend and that's left me feeling grateful for their presence among us.

Time for me to rustle up a meal. I'll be seeing you around the yards when I get back.

:Namaste:

I'm gonna stand in the middle of my digital room, stamp my foot in defiance and scream in my loudest inside virtual voice

I'M SO F*****G TIRED OF DEALING WITH MITES IN THE AUTO TENT!!!!!

Tomorrow I'm taking everyone out, spraying them down with the hose in the tub, scrubbing the whole fuc***g tent down top to bottom. The perlite goes. I'll replace it with new. Maybe I'll do away with it right now. It has to go when I shift to straight HB anyway. Everyone in this tent gets thoroughly sprayed with the SNS 217 every three days from here on out, no exceptions.

Enough of this damned foolishness. These tiny earthlings are going to stop visiting my tent. I'm ready to strip every leaf off the DDAs. I won't do that :laughtwo: but you can feel my frustration. Lol! Good God, the beasties took over again overnight. Overnight. WTH?

When will I learn to listen to BB? Susan, Susan, Susan.

I need a buzz. F'n Borg.

bobrown 14's IPM on steroids

- 1 gallon RO water
- 1 tablespoon Pro-tek (I have TM7)
- 2 tablespoons Ful-Power
- 2 oz Dr Bonner's Peppermint soap (get to the store and buy this first thing tomorrow)
- 1/2 tsp 200x aloe powder (I have fresh aloe)
- 1-2 Tablespoons neem oil

Mix it all up, put it into a sprayer and spray the hell out of everything in the tent except the light - plants, soil, pots, walls, floor, the rug right outside the tent. Wipe the ceiling. Wipe the fan. When you're done, take the bottle of Dr. Bonner's soap and shower. Wash your clothes. Be prepared to have to do this all over again someday, so keep this recipe handy. If you grow in soil and can't control heat you should anticipate a visit from opportunistic mites.

*****************************************
Get rid of the SWICK reservoir. Take it outside quickly and bag it up out there.

The only way to effectively spray these autos will be to remove the restraints and drench the hell out of them. I need to be able to get under each and every leaf. *sigh* Ok, deep breath.................................... Think of it as a way to get intimately acquainted with the charges. Make this positive Susan. Do it now.

I'm going to beat this infestation once and for all. BB has given me the ammunition to get the job done. It's past time to use this spray, but tomorrow it'll be taken care of. This is but a minor glitch, a small speed bump that offers you the chance to make this fabulous spray. It'll be wonderfully effective and you'll be sharing this recipe and singing BB's praises for years to come.

There, doesn't that feel better. :laughtwo:

Yes, yes it does. *giggle*
