The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

As always the plants look amazing with health and vigor, c'monnnnn my soil already!! hahaha :)

The LOS recipe I use isn't hot and you can plant in it right after mixing. I feel for you. I didn't find that fact out until after I had my soil planted. LOL!! Life can be so cute sometimes. :laughtwo:

What's in your soil mix that makes it hot? Just insatiably curious.

Beautiful as always

Thank you kind sir. :battingeyelashes: They make it so easy. It's just the numbers that make it such a challenge, but I always did like a good challenge. :battingeyelashes:

I must admit after reading that i didn't know what 'hot soil' was, i just read up on the subject and I believe that my soil recipe isn't 'hot'. I just thought the cooking of the soil for a month was a must, silly me for not researching more :laughtwo: Thank you for bringing that to my attention sue, +Reps for that one :)

Edit: Our small babies need a transfer today anyway so it looks like they are the first candidates for the new soil! :) :) :)

Wonderful news! Hugs to you both. :hugs: :hugs: They're going to love the soil. Once the fungi get cracking you're in for a real treat. I love the thrill of first run LOS. :laughtwo: We'll expect regular updates, now.

Look at that. You learned something new and valuable today. :high-five:

So glad I found you SS. I'm gettin' that old guitar out of the closet. My fingers hurt already...

I pick it up every hour (the timer goes off and I reset it) and work on cords until the fingers won't do it anymore. Yeah. They hurt. :laughtwo: but I got some basic cords in solid positioning, and my favorite syncopated picking rhythm is beginning to flow again. Feels good.

Good luck KK. :thumb:

random thoughts: my place at this table

There are so many times I'm completely intimidated by many of you that gather here to share my joy at living and gardening. It's the gardening part that you guys have down so much better than I at this point. I'll concede, I work at it with a passion that covers some of my shortfallings. I want to demonstrate competency here as much as the next cannabis cultivator.

Last night it kind of overwhelmed me and I questioned what I could possibly bring to this table that would make me acceptable company among this gathering. Let's be honest, most of you grow rings around me. So I've been thinking this over all day and I think I've found my place, my contribution to this wonderful band of talented and brilliant gardeners. I fascilitate. I wander through our neighborhood and I look for ways to make the connections that answer questions and link us to greater source materials in this crazy quest we're on to grow the best in the shortest span of time with the least amount of stress.

The sharing of love and the encouragement of joyful expression? Yeah, I acknowledge that's a big draw, but geez guys, that's just me. I don't know how to be anything else. I had to find some concrete contribution I make that I felt balanced what I take from you all, knowing there's really no way to balance that. You guys....

So that's me, the noisy one running around patting you on the back, jumping up and down to celebrate your successes, spreading hugs everywhere, encouraging you to experiment, looking for those opportunities to connect you to each other. We have the most amazing crucible operating on this site and I'm so humbled to be part of it all.

One year ago today I signed up for what I thought would be a quiet journal that would likely be a solitary journey, intent only on documenting the grow for my own records. Can you believe that? Yeah, that made me laugh too. :laughtwo: I must say, quite a year. Not at all what I expected when I signed on.

I look forward to many, many more. You've all made it such fun. Even with the drama of the death spiral you carried me through. Your mothers would be proud.

This made me laugh right out loud. It's the perfect descriptor though, isn't it? She stuns me.

Hi SweetSue, I hope you don't mind me sitting in to watch and learn, You are certainly my Queen of Green:Namaste:

Why puregreen, what a lovely thing to say. :hugs: You feel free to join this racous crowd of stoned gardeners and jump right into the conversation. I see you're relatively new to our neighborhood, so let me welcome you, and please, if we can help you find your way around this ever-growing village we play in, you have only to ask and someone will jump to your aide.

I've been called the Queen of CFLs, a title I cherish, I must admit, but Queen of Green has a sweet little lilt to it. :laughtwo: I certainly do my best and I study hard, so there's actually hope that I may someday live up to that one as well. A girl can hope. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

Already there and subbed my friend. It's an important lesson in life to understand that no matter how dark it looks right now there's always a light at the end of the tunnel. :hugs:

I think SweetSue is most appropriate. :laughtwo: I'll be Queen no matter what, LOL, but that username turned out to be quite the correct pick. I have no idea where it came from either. Not my type of pick at all. I guess it was meant to be. :battingeyelashes:
