What are these T5 lights I keep hearing about. I looked online and found a bunch of different kinds. Are they fluorescents? I'm using cfls right now but would like to add more light without a bunch of heat. Are these gonna be good to add to my cfls? And can I get them at Lowe's or home depot? Please help.

Yes T5's are flouro's. Yes they can be found at Home Depot or Lowes. They are good to add to your CFL's, very little heat.

Yea Billy I'm growing with T5 now . My first grow check it out . They are pretty good lights

Thanks guys. I'm gonna be getting some. Right now I have 12 26 watt cfls. If I add 4 t5s do you think that will work for one, maybe two plants?

You have more than enough cfls already & can quite happly veg 2 plants with that many !


May i ask what kelvin your cfls are ?

Thanks Fuzzy Duck. They are 6500k. Will I be able to flower with my setup as long as I switch to 2700k?
