I am going to buy a sunsystem 4foot 8bulb setup with 3000k bulbs to flower with, what are some thoughts and tips of flowering with t-5.

I agree with JJ and Latinbudder, but depending on the number of plants you have, it wouldn't hurt to hang some 3000k or 2700k cfl's down in between the plants. If you grow a big canopy, the T-5 alone will not be able to penetrate through to the buds near the bottom of the plant.

With a t-5... keep it smaller and tight. Just how I like my ladies...

A great way to utilize a T-5 is to set up a regular light schedule in controlled small space. The T-5 goes 12/12 regular... then for 2-4 hours of the day cycle, kick on a 400W HPS also... My friend did this plan and he had great results. for the last week the HPS burned 3 hours int he middle of the day... It finished nicely... When he was going to be gone... Just the T-5 would kick on..... The regularity of the cycle is more important a lot of the time than the intensity of the light.

He said it was great. No chances of fire when he is gone. Plants get the regular 12/12 every day and then when it matters. the HPS is on blasting and finishing.
