I'm going to be using this mix. In my research I found that it has silica already added(RESiLIENCE), my question is is there enough in the mix? Has anybody had to add additional silica to this medium?
Hey GG - Nothing technical to offer here just opinion but I‘ll get the ball rolling by saying - in most soil & coco applications you can safely supplement with silica at regular intervals to enhance the plant. I've never ran sunshine mix so no help there
Sungro states that silica uptake takes place up to 18 weeks, Think I'll go with what is already in mix.
I'm tempted to ditch what I have and just get the raw materials and build my own mix. Next grow for sure, I hate not knowing what is or is not in these pre-mixed mediums.
