Sunny Florida Grow #1

Like a lot of you, I've come to this pretty much by accident. I was starting herb seeds in a Jiffy seed starter thing...I had several pots left over...and a vial full of seeds from "better" mids over the last few years. Not expecting much, I was suprised when almost all sprouted. Again..not expecting much, I filled a couple buckets and big flower pots with yard soil (I live in a swamp area..my soil is black, stinky, and EVERYTHING seems to do great in it) I put 3 seedlings to a bucket, figuring at least 1 in each would be male. I keep them by the pool, and move them as the the sun moves. One pot got little red/orange specs on the undersides of the leaves...I sprayed with "SAFER" and the entire pot just wilted like I hit it with Agent Orange (OH well...I didn't expect much) Cutworms just decimated several more (I bring them in at night these days) Now I have 3 chest high plants, n I'm getting a bit nervous about this bush on the back porch. I decide to flower them and see what's what before they get any bigger. Couple days in the guest shower stall shades closed... back out....6 girls 3 boyz . 3 in 1bucket....1 has 3 but they never recovered from the bug thing...3 fed to my rat colony. I didn't expect much...but I'm getting excited a bit. I've been burning since...well....since over 40 years ago...and I've never grown a plant all the way out. So I started a couple more....2 beautiful little Indicas!! (later on that) Anyway....I think I've got to move this circus indoors. CFLs and sunlight combo. I'll take some pix and figure how to get them up here. NOW I have a million questions. {I do understand the importance of PH and our soil is pretty much 6.5-6.9 (county AG service for free) }

I had both little Indicas (even my wife asked if they were a different kind of plant, they are THAT different) in a single pot. They are 6 nodes, 1 split, 7 inches tall....and I decided to move them to buckets and split them. I made my soil on the potting table, lots of pearlite...some sulphur for later down the line and a bit of Dolomite to stabilize the whole thing (some vermiculite to lighten it) and enough peat to get the whole mess to register 6.5 or so.
I went to Lowes and bought a bunch of 23w CFLs....soft white...brilliant white and one 6500k blue. I have a bunch of "full spectrum" bulbs from a reptile store as well...Vitalite CFLs. I have 5 on each plant...for now. I'm thinking LEDs.....thoughts folks?? >>><<< when I split the Indica plants, I potted one set it down in the sun, and by the time I'd potted the second, it wilted! I moved them to the shade and flooded them...I moved them to the spare bedroom and surrounded them with CFLs...they've come back OK...but any wilted leaves are now dead from the wilt line out.....OUCH!! But I think it's alright...PIX tomorrow

Is this grow still alive?
