Stigma growing out of side of branch

Looks like a stigma growing out of the side of branch ...I dont see a pistil for it to grow from looks like it's coming straight out of the branch or maybe its a mutated leaf "gone rogue" .....just wondering if anyone else seen this on their plant?

That's something I've never seen before in over 50 years of growing. Don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing, it'll be interesting to see the final result. Thanks for posting.

As cross bred as everything is now a day's it doesn't surprise me
