Sticky bud

Im new at this. I grew some plants, read books, used minerals in my water and ect. I have 12 plants, 2 of them were ready last Wednesday. I have trimmed them and have had the buds in drying racks all week. The problem im having is im not sure if they are dry. They are so sticky at the touch i have to wear gloves. (They were also like this the whole time they were growing) I guess im just wondering if this is normal and how long does it usually take to dry when this sticky. Smells great and i have a controlled dry rm.

If your humidity level falls below 55% and the bud becomes completely dry, the cure is over and you will lose out on further breakdown of chlorophyll for smoother/cleaner smoke as well as increased flavor/potency. The cure is important and is a 2 part process of drying your buds for up to 2 weeks (i only get in 4-5 days before they need to be jarred cause of 80f+ temps and humidifier set at 65%). Once i jar them (part 2), my humidity gauge in the jar with the buds settles in at 58 - 59% so i know im still okay, although its 60-65% i wanted it at for the sweet zone for cure. I throw in my humidipak 62% into each jar to keep it in the sweet zone for jar cure or you can use it to re-hydrate over-dried bud. As long as your bud is above 55%, its still technically curing and will continue to get better with age up until i think its 6 months and you want to store it for long term by freezing it.
