Stems r purple

my seedlings just popped up and are 1/2in tall but the stems are purple...is this ok ... the leaves look good and healthy

had a few that the seed opened but they rose up to the top of the peat pellet and were just laying there with a little chute pokin out of them...is this typical? i pushed them back down but havnt seen 1 pop back up

Purple stems are usually ok.

Never, ever, push, poke, prod or otherwise molest a just opened seedling! 10-1 that one is a goner. Learn a lesson from this, and apply it down the road.

i've see n it happen with rock wool and peat pellets.. when the root sprouts, intead of "digging" in it pushes/lifts the pod right out of the grow media. I always take a pair of tweezers and place it gently back in the small hole root down of course. (if no hole.. then make one). try not to tuch the rooth as at this stage your skin is caustic to their tiny little root hairs... and they can't take it
