my FOAF is growing a few plants indoor for their first time. he's had the lights on 24 hours since they started sprouting. someone told him that if u switch from 24 to 12/12 all at once it'll stress them into males or something. the FOAF thats growing doesnt believe this since they're already showing signs of sex...but is worried about turning them into hermaphrodites or just plain compromising them n decreasing their potency, so he'd figure he'd ask in case. he started cutting off 2 hours for the first time today...n will 2 hours a day every day until it's down to 12/12. should he just switch them to 12/12 all at once or slowly step it down? any suggestions? thanx for the help.
