Sprout seems stuck?

Alright, this is my first grow and everything is going swimmingly except for this little guy here.
It seems as though it is unable to open up its leaves and soak up the light. I see, and hopefully you can to from these pictures, that there are some other leaves growing under this blanket it has created. It is as if the leaves were tack welded together. Should i pry these apart with vicious care or just let it run its course. I have been waiting since it has been like this since it broke through the soil.
Any suggestions? What could have caused this?

Whew!
I was getting worried there. This particular seed was suppose to be my magnum opus.
Now the ones i thought were not even going to sprout are surpassing all my expectations.
Im going to try that right now.
Thanks Wiz!

Well I spritzed it with some water and took a metal probe to it and WHAM! It popped open and the hard skin or crust, not sure what it is, stayed right on the metal tip!
It was so easy I feel a little foolish for asking.

These are just some random seeds donated by a few friends and my good ol' mom. So im not to sure. If this grow goes well and is successful in any sort of way, i will look into buying specific strains.

My first grow is bag seed also. Hope to see updates on them in a few weeks. Help is here if you need it. Also if you have the time try making a journal or after getting your feet wet with this grow make one for your second grow if that interest you at all. Keep em green!

Also just a reminder to keep it simple. Dont over do the nutrients or over water. I made plenty of those mistakes before I joined 420!!!

Ive been debating on whether or not to make a Grow Journal.
I have been keeping a dairy of sorts in a notebook; logging some information I might be interested in later down the road. But I just feel like everything i'm doing is too novice for anyone to really be interested in for an extended period of time at least.
2nd grow, when I have a little greener thumb, I will probably make one.

Yea I felt the same way but I end up making one any way and since then Ive learned alot by joining along with other growers journals. And pretty much its cool to see where growers began and progressed threw there first to there 2nd grow. I follow alot of noobs journals as im still a noob my self. 3 months ago is when my plants where just babies. Since then ive done alot of reading and start trying to do alot of different things with in my first grow. IDK its more than just the buds to me. I actually like learning about the periodic table and plants etc. One day I will make my own nutrient line. :)
