Sparkles on leaves?

My plants are just beginning to flower. I noticed through my loupe they have tiny sparkles on the leaves. Is this normal and if so, is it a good thing or a bad thing?

Those "Sparkles" you see are the Trichomes. Or as most growers call it "sugar leaves". That's the good sticky stuff and you want all you can get!

Thank you cannafan. I wasn't sure if the leaves got trychs or just the pistils. I will check that link for sure though!
