Solo Cup Comp: Bring It!

20160210_193417.jpg
Finally! My bigger plants are ready to flower, so I have swapped out the bulb and now I don't have to put #1,2 & 3 in the pantry to get its 12 hours of dark! Lol
I'm real high budget grow here folks.
Spared no expense!

I know in an earlier post on here I promised a pic so her is my solo cup entry planted Jan 28 th og kush by rare earth seeds was my last seed and just threw it in the cup with soil haha

I wanted to take a picture and realized my tablet was missing. Turns out I dropped it somewhere between my car and my apartment while carrying some groceries, and some welfare collector picked it up and decided to keep it. Don't know what they will do with a locked out tablet on its last dying breath. I was buying a new one today anyways, so I'll have a pic up next week. Mine is starting to bud already but its only like 6 inches tall. lol

Jackie solo at 18 days. It's great watching everyone else's too:high-five:

I haven't decided if I'm doing any topping or lst this time. Still trying to dial in the watering situation. I feel like I go from over to under quickly. :Namaste:

Ha,, golfy,, you using yer foot wedge here??,, kidding, of course I am,, no such thing as a foot wedge, I know,, ha,, anyhoo, is that the tiniest plant ever? Is that a solo cup size container?, just curious, can't figure it out,, cheers

Here are a few pictures to clear up the mystery :passitleft: It's a gallon fabric pot rolled down and filled with 18oz of promix.

I think the foot wedge sits in the bag between the sand wedge and the lob wedge :smoke2:

I'm still in that concerned stage that I could come home one night and find her flat down :thedoubletake: So far, so good though. I am sure there are tweaks I can make to the environment that can help. I kinda threw this grow together quickly, thinking I was going to take a break for a couple months.

Out in the garage it is tough to keep the temps consistent and with the space I don't get a lot of air flow. I think the droopy leaves is from under watering. I just fed her slightly tonight and she was definitely dry. Hoping she looks much better in the morning.

I'm also open to suggestions :Namaste:

After watering/feeding yesterday - she seems to have perked up. I think the droopiness was related to under watering rather than over. Still struggle with abiding by a regular schedule. Overall I'm happy that I've been feeding and she's growing, albeit sometimes at extremes.

I think my little transplant it going to make it (Penelope Pitstop is her name). Yes her name (or initials more accurately) are very appropriate for her birth heritage, and more mature peeps (read older folks) may possibly remember its origin (if too many grey cells haven't been damaged in the making of this plant). Poorly written grammar above perhaps, but hey, I see MUCH worse around here!

Her first true first leaves turned crispy and wrinkled after root trim and transplant, but they are still green! The 3rd leaves set are 5 point and 4th look like probable 7 point under magnification, but I'm FIMming her tonight. Hey it's Saturday Night and at my age a FIM is a FIM!

It sure is difficult to keep her watered, the cup is basically 80% roots and 20% soil now. Might setup a wick or drip if she makes it though Monday. Her camera shyness will abate, especially since shes not embarrassed of her home anymore!

Best of Buds

The solo cup prisoners after another week away. Still all alive, and doing ok, with a couple issues here and there. The Critical Cheese in brown pot in back was dried up and wilted when I returned. Not quite sure why just that one but it will survive, and I'm going to move the timer to two waterings a day now since the littler ones may be past the danger of overwatering, hopefully. The Ace Malawi in scrog screen behind them is overdue for harvest now. Maybe tomorrow...

Nice bro, how was the ace Malawi to grow I grow the space Malawi, how long sides the ace flower, did you go 12/12 from seed is she in a journal mate.

I get excited when I see malawi

DAY: 11

My idea of the seeds to smoke planter is being held up in the R&D phase, so I chosen and alternate container.
That's right, for this grow I opened a WHOLE can of WHOOP ASS!!

I chose to read pot the seedling with the shortest node distance. Hope it's a girl.
