How is her nutrient uptake.
When she is finished flowering she will stop eating.
Is she still consuming nutrients regularly?
Beautiful work btw. :thumb:

Thank you Bill284. I noticed that she’s not drinking much when I lifted the pot today. I never knew they stopped feeding at harvest time.

Hi Bill, as you predicted, she’s not drinking much. Looks like harvest this Sunday.

That second one looks like it still has time. I've got one similar and I'm going to hold off until after Thanksgiving (I hope). I just finished draughting her and she's looking a bit worse for wear but I can't have a harvest hanging with company coming in.

Thank you Azimuth. I suspected that the second plant wasn’t ready, but I almost decided to chop both. I had planned to dry in the grow tent, but it looks like I’ll be harvesting in stages now.

I have a small cheap grow tent on order for Saturday delivery. I’ll set up a drying tent and hopefully survive Thanksgiving odor-free. I couldn’t have timed this crop any worse from a privacy standpoint.

Thanks again for the set of expert eyes.

Seedlings are stretching more than I like as I learn the proper distance with the LED. They were leaning heavily and needed support until I received some advice to add soil to the cups. Problem solved with the helpful advice of a fellow grower.

Nutrient plan for these babies…..

I will be using the following supplements and nutrients. I’m following the Lucas recipe using GH Flora Micro and Bloom. Also using water conditioner (for chloramines in my tap water), silica, cal Mag, seaweed extract and ph down (for my 9.5 ph tap water)

Lots of good pictorials and tips for healthy girls.

That's not all that big a deal. You can support them with something if you have to until they stabilize. Then when you up-pot you can bury it deeper in the new pot and new roots will grow from the buried part of the stem, just like tomatoes.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! A quick look at the seedlings….a lot of change in a short period of time. I have one gallon pots filled with soil and ready for a quick transplant. A few more days in the solo cups. I’m going to use Mykos this time too. They’re in a small tent at 77 degrees and 71% humidity. A small oscillating fan is blowing on the plants to strengthen the stems. Small humidifier is using Reverse Osmosis water to avoid the white humidifier film from forming.

The veg and flower tent are now set up. This should allow me to harvest every 12 weeks or so if needed. I have a cheap small 2x2x4 drying tent to the side too.

The seedlings are now starting week 3 of the seedling stage and looking healthy. The veg tent, with 78 degree temperatures and 70% humidity, seems to help speed up growth.

I transplanted them from solo cups to one gallon containers yesterday and added some Mykos to the rootball. One of the plants (LA Peyote Kush) tipped over and required a splint (last plant photo). I’m planning to keep the LA Peyote Kush around for clones and use her as a mother plant, because I have no room to grow her out. The soil was a mixture of Happy Frog, Ocean Forest and perlite.

I’m misting them with RO water, CalMag and seaweed extract and using the same mixture to water when the pots are light.

The LED is at 18” high and 40% intensity…..going to try 50% intensity today. I’m working my way up to 70% intensity over the next two weeks hopefully.

Thanks Bill! Sorry for the delay….hope you had a great Thanksgiving and weekend!

Seedlings are in the middle of week 3 since sprouting and looking healthy. I’m waiting for them to get to 6 nodes, and then I will top them above the 4th node. I need to determine when to remove the bottom two nodes too….i don’t want to remove too much at once. Back to reading the quadline write-up.

I’m still not sure if I have room for the LA Peyote Kush….might keep her around as a mother plant and try my hand at cloning in a few weeks. I have failed at cloning twice….but I’ll do a little more research and try it again.

My Quadlining lesson begins today…..the three seedlings are in week 3 of the seedling stage or possibly week 1 of veg.

I removed the bottom 2 nodes from each plant. I will top them in a few days above the fourth node, let them recover, and then transplant them into their final 5 gallon fabric containers for the start of low stress training.

I’m currently using a mixture of RO Water, Seaweed extract (28ml/g) and CalMag (4ml/g) as a foliar spray and occasional drench. I will be adding EM-1 soil conditioner to the mixture starting tomorrow.

My watering plan for these plants is to use the AC Infinity self watering bases…..they use a wick system to draw nutrients to the bottom 1/3 of the fabric container.

Today is the start of Week 4 for my small plants and the start of Week 11 of flower for my Blue Dream.

Today I chopped the top off of each small plant above the fourth node. I already removed the bottom two nodes, so now these girls are ready for “quadline” training. I will transplant into 5 gallon fiber pots soon so that I can start tying down the branches. I’m just waiting to harvest one plant in the 2x4 tent to open up space for these girls.

Before the haircut, giving the girls a shower with RO water, CalMag (4ml/g), Seaweed Extract and EM-1 (28ml/g for both)

Meanwhile, back in the flowering tent, the Blue Dream has entered Week 11 of flowering. This is a 7-9 week flowering strain, so I’m a little surprised that this one is dragging her feet. One more week tops…..because I want to move the new plants into this tent.

I’ve rarely seen it, but there’s some purple showing in some of the trichomes in photo 2. Thought that was cool.

Harvest day is here! I’ve been wet trimming branches since 5am. I’m very slow and not very good at trimming. I didn’t bother keeping more than a handful of trim material either….just branches with buds.

I’m using the flower tent (2x4) for drying with the Temp at 70 degrees and humidity at 60%. Planning to give it a week or so. I will leave the small plants in their one gallon pots in the 2x2 for now. They will need to be moved into the flower tent in a week after I transplant them into 5 gallon pots.

I decided that the trichomes in the Blue Dream have enough amber for my liking. I’m not looking for a sedative effect.

The rest of this grow diary will be dedicated to finishing the Purple Ghost Candy and Godfather OG strains using the Quadline training. Then I intend to close this “perpetual garden” thread.
