Hello,
As we all the know the plant smells. But what im wondering is how much does this plant smell exactly when its flowering. Is it enough to make my closet, room and outside my room smell strong or at all? I know my room and closet will(its in the closet) But what about outside my room?. Thanks for any help.

well it really depends on the plant... some are stronger then others, maybe some more experienced growers can give you more detail about the fragrance factor

Man, my grows reek i can suggest, and this is going to sound a little funky but you need about 30 boxes of baking powder or buy bulk from a bakery supplier it does actually help.

Alright, thanks. What are the most methods to help you get rid of the smell if u cant get much ventilation other then opening a door? I was thinking of geting some citrus odorizers from walmart. Would that help at all?

just posted and right after i posted that my husband said to me that he didn't think that ,thats highly affective he says you need to find some way of containment, we don't grow mass quantity's we just grow to smoke you know so i never smell much of anything what i think reeks may not be bad for yur situation. HE says containment is best if possible.

Just make a carbon air filter dude.

Get some activated carbon from a pet store. Get dryer sheets and put the carbon between two of them, and staple them together. Put that infront of your exhaust fan and there's no smell.

very true

or you can just buy an ozone generator off of ebay for like 20 to 40 $ easy and fast

Great tip on the drier sheets and charcoal Noobie! Cheap solutions to potencially expensive problems is what makes this country great. Better to use your head than your wallet. I used the same logic for an encloser. I spent $2.58 on some pine 1 1/2" X 1/2" X 8' stringers to build a lighting frame, surrounded it with two Borden's 3 sided folding presentation boards (Wally World) @ $3.68 each. These are cardboard with white inner linings (no need to cover unless you elect to use mylar). I capped the top using a regular box top (18"X12), cutting a hole the same diameter as a round 9" utility fan I had laying around. For lighting, I used 3 2700 lumen floro's ($9.00 ea), one hanging from an overhead power strip, and two mounted horizontally, one on each side plugged into power strips mounted to the pine uprights. This arrangement allows you to easily raise the lights as the plant grows by merely plugging them into the next highest socket. Hope this helps those suffering from space limitations, and or, financial restraints.

Yeah, mine stunk up the place in veg, but since I started flowering the smell has gone down for some reason. Its messed up, I think its due to the fact that its shitty bag strain.

CORRECTION: One must never, ever try to advise when baked......my description of the enclosure 'Borden blah, blah, blah was total bullshit, derived from some other cosmic plane. Actually it's Elmer's Fold Out Display Board....I did get the price right though.

eeeeewwwww eeeewwwww that smell....... cantcha smell that smell..... the smell of dank surrounds you....... you know the tune to sing it by I think.
Hey bud..... buy yourself an electric potpourri pot keep it in your room not closet, keep it full, try snipping up some Bounce dryer sheets (the ones w/ Febreeze scent stink the most). Or go out and buy one of those automatic aerosol scent dispensors that runs on a timer, it should be adjustable enough to spray often enough to cover the smell.....this second method is a bit spendier so I recommend the potpourri pot which will allow full time scenting and you can select alot of scents at a much better price.:allgood: :peace:

There is a contraption you can make if you spend a little $$, I'll give you directions (if I still have em) if you want them but it's a sure-fire way to control the smell and there's no need to use any other smelly shit.
