Hamburg Township siblings accused of operating a marijuana-growing operation in their M-36 home were arraigned Monday on drug charges.

Lonnie Mae Manos, 55, and her brother, Richard Ronald Swartz, 60, were arrested in December 2005 after local police and agents with the federal Drug Enforce-ment Agency executed a search warrant at their home.

During that incident, police said they confiscated 70 suspected marijuana plants, and seized four handguns and four long guns.

Police said an investigation revealed the siblings had been growing marijuana plants since 1998. Police said the plants were of high quality, and that the suspects had allegedly been selling a quarter-pound of marijuana for $600.

Manos is charged with delivery or manufacture of marijuana. She is free on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond. Her next court date is Wednesday for an exam conference before District Judge Theresa Brennan in Brighton.

Swartz, charged with possession of marijuana, is free on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond. His next court date is Nov. 20 for a pretrial hearing before Brennan.
