Strain Name: San Fernando Valley OG Kush
From: Trinity Gardens Collective
When: March 2011
Grade: A
Type: hybrid
Price: $190/half oz
Looks: Medium to dark green and extremely dense, crystal covered "popcorn" buds
Smell: Sweet fresh greens with a hint of citrus/petroleum
Taste: A rich smoke with a strong citrus flavor
Buzz Type: Spacy cerebral high with a strong body high as well
Buzz Length: 2+ hours
Best Medicinal Use: Body Relaxation, Pain Relief, and Appetite Enhancement
Overall: This is a different pheno of OG Kush from the San Fernando Valley. These buds were rock hard/very dense. While the look was different, everything else about this sample screamed OG Kush. A strong medicating buzz hits fast — 2 hits off a pipe and I feeling it immediately. My concentration faded quickly and then I felt the body high relaxation begin in my shoulders and work it's way down through my back, about 10 minutes later. I would recommend this pheno as an alternative to any other indica, where the patients main concern is pain relief/muscle relaxation — without worries of lack of focus/concentration. This strain also left me feeling REALLY hungry — so it's a good one to help with appetite as well.
