Seedsman Comparison Grow: CPK & Dr. Seedsman

Bit of a rough start. Thrips got the plants early and my ph pen was out by half a ph so they got off to a bit of a slow start. No matter I wasn’t in a hurry and they have recovered and are looking good.

Sorry to hear about your rough start male sure they get some ventilation over the top of that medium. Thirps they eat on stem nutrients correct ? No fans correct ?

I have a fan in the area for sure. I had thrips in the plant next to it. Was bound to happen. I have them sprayed down with soap now, it seems to be working. I had them thinned out with DE, and have sprayed with and ISO mixture too but I can never seem to quite rid myself of them. Persistence must be key. Strange thing is that I have never seen a flying one so maybe they are something slightly different. Everything I look at says they have a flying phase and a phase in the soil. But I only ever see the crawling little worm looking things that are either white or brown.

Gnats ?

Try to do every two or three days. most Pest ive noticed can lay eggs and then they die because you kill all of them but their eggs hatch after they die. Again super small babies you wouldn't see unless microscope probably.

I have had the of what looks like fruit fly in my flower tent this run.

I actually am going to put a few fly sticky things to see what happens this weekend myself.

I hate pest man wishing you a good recovery and kill those bastards lol.

End of week 5

Thanks for the push, Chris. From 2 litre to 17 litre pots. The soil(ish) mix I use (canna terra pro) was augmented with 2c EWC, 1c blood and bone with kelp, 1/2c dolomite lime per 17 litre pot. I also filled a half dozen cups with this soil to prep for clones when these girls are ready. CPK nearly there. Expecting a delivery of mega crop which should see these girls through. Watered them in today with myco and calmag. They will probably be topped as soon as they show willing again after the transplant.

Such a phenominal group of growers in this bunch!

Just harvested my Doctor Seedsman CBD a moment ago. Took me well over an hour to trim but the results were great. My wet weight was 464g and took all my trimming and am drying it out for pressing or making edibles later on. So I should be looking at well over 4ounces dried when all is said and done:yummy: So a few pics to share

Nice job. What was your indication to harvest them?

Does anyone have factual data or study for optimal CBD harvesting?
:high-five:

FYI... A little web search indicates milky. CBD drops hard after it’s peak.

I looked elsewhere too on when to harvest CBD plants as I didn’t know if I needed amber in there as well. I was probably 60% cloudy and 40% amber. This was the pic from my digital microscope from last Sunday. Probably ready then but due to work and holiday get together I had to wait until today on harvesting. Just resting my wrist because I got to go back down and harvest my Purple Urkle plant too.

Wow my plants are slowly on their way to greatness but the bar is set high here! HappyHolidays to All and congratulations on some amazing looking plants in this comparison grow. Here’s my girls growing like weeds.

Lots of good growth for sure but not really vertical

Probably raised my lights 3-5" or so, maybe a bit more
