I’ll be doing my first grow, it’ll be in a 4x4 tent, probably 4 plants from seeds. I have a growing list of supplies, and now the MillionDollar question, what to grow ????

My medium will be 70/30 coco/perlite mix. I have heard hybrids are the hardiest, my preference is a 50/50 sativa indica.....

The tent is about 7’ tall if that matters, thanx for ur help

It's a personal choice. If you had some you liked, go with that strain. There are lots of reviews and smoke reports here and elsewhere. Whatever you choose, get the seeds from a reputable breeder. There are $10,000 per seed strains out there with claims to justify the cost for new growers.:rofl::rofl::laugh:

Start with a well know breeder. Feminized seeds are a good way to start. Simple and easy. When looking for a strain look for easy to grow hybrids. Most breeders will give a idea of the skill level it takes to grow a strain. Lots of great strains are easy to grow.

Hybrids will be easier in general but lots of indicas can grow great with little care. The biggest thing is to start with a good strain. Genetics is not where you want to skimp. Lots of great strains to be had for around 50 bucks for 5 seeds. That is good starting level for seeds. There are cheaper seeds and more expensive ones. Better to know exactly what you want with bargain seeds. Same with high dollar seeds. Nothing wrong with them they are not great for starting though.

Thing is. It is going to be the best weed you have ever grown. Might as well give it a chance to be the best you have smoked.

Some may disagree. If I had to suggest something. I would say find a easy to grow strain from Green House seeds. They are as consistent as anyone out there.

Yes, I use 4" square nursery pots as I have them. I move from that directly into the final containers.

I use a pointy object to make a hole deep enough so the seed is about 1/4" from the top of the coco/perlite. I do the first topping while they are in the nursery pots, and transplant when the new branches appear.

Yes. I use a shot glass to feed them every few days, and increase the frequency when there's no run off. When I reach twice a day, I start increasing the amount I feed them.

If a strain is described as Flowering in 8 weeks, is that seed to cutting down ?

I was reading about GG4

For the autoflowering strains it's usually from seed to harvest.

Photoperiod strains usually have the time in flower stated, as the time in the vegetative stage is controlled by the grower. The 'time in flower' can be from the flip, or the end of the stretch, when the first flowers appear. The difference is normally two to three weeks.
