Hey there I am new to indoor growing, I have a ??? is a 1000mh. too much light for seedlings that are 1 day out of the soil the temp. is 80 deg. the light is about 12 to 15 inches above the seedlings

how large of an area are u lighting and how many plants?

Good question! I don't have an answer though. 
Generally, in nature, seedlings are subjected to full sun as soon as they sprout. I usually do my seeds outside in full sun.
Light is not the problem.
However, that same sun, or 1kw light in your case, can bake them in a heartbeat if you aren't careful. It's a balancing act to be sure.
Do you have any bagseeds to practice with? Like getting to several sets of true leaves before going to 'store bought' seeds?
