Seed planting orientation

Hi guys

Have germinated a number of seeds and are ready to set in rockwool/Deep Water Culture planter.
Wanted to make sure I plant them correctly.
If the growth coming out of the seed is called a taproot then should it be planted downwards? I don't want to risk putting them in upside down...
