Second Grow: Learning From My Mistakes

These first few posts will be me catching up on missing a handful of weeks.

Here's my setup

• CoolGrows 48x24x60 Tent
• iPower 4" inline vent fan
• iPower Speed Controller
• Phresh Charcoal Filter
• 1 x Galaxyhydro 1000w LED, 1 x Realdro 600w LED
• 50/50 Foxfarm and Miracle Grow Organic Soil
• VivoSun 5 gallon fabric pots
• Foxfarm Dirty Dozen Nutrients
• General Hydroponics pH Control Kit
• Dr. Lyn Digital pH Pen Water Quality Tester Meter

I am using Gorilla Glue seeds first germinated 7/29/19. These were germinated on paper towels and 7 of 9 seeds germinated.

Once germinated these were put into small plastic seed starter trays in miracle grow soil.

One thing I found was an issue last time was dialing in my pH, I got that corrected this time by picking up a cheap pH meter.
I also started these with just one light. It helped minimize the burn.

Day 26 from germination. I started to suffer from fungus gnats. I let the soil dry out and used Diatomaceous Earth... It didn't work, so I used Mosquito Pellets, that worked a bit better, but not 100%.

Day 35 from Germination

The plants started to get big and blocked each other from the lights, so I raised it up and added the second light unit. The problem that I found was heat in the room and burning /curling leaves.

Heat continued to be an issue, so I added multiple air intakes and it helped a bit, but growth was sluggish...

Day 49 from Germination

Finally got the heat under control by picking up extra ducting and venting the whole setup outside. Now I'm able to keep it at a fairly steady 77 degrees and 55% humidity. Plants shot up this week as a result. Also on to the solid nutes from FoxFarm and it makes a huge difference.

Now I was facing them getting too tall for the tent, these were already topped so I am going with Sea of Green
