Need to ask you guy's is this how i do it. Well ive bean reading about scrog and this what i think i have to do not sure put chickin wire strech it out over my plant probly almost a 2 feet once the top of the plant goes threw the top about 2 inches tie it there then make sure no branches go threw the top tie them down with fishing line or what ever. and does this make the plant bud early and if so how early if i will be planting mid of april outside.

From what I've read about it, you can start w/the chicken wire a lot closer to the plant, as close as 4-6 inches. I don't think scrog makes the plant flower any faster or earlier, it's still limited by the light cycle just like any other plant. Make sure you have lots of linear space for the plant to spread out. You're basically going to be taking a plant that might be 6-8 feet by harvest time (if you plan to put it out side) and confining those 6-8 feet to 2 verticle feet, and how many horizontal feet? Who knows.
Here's a good alternative to scrog. Once your plant is outside, figure out which is the north side of your plant. Stretch chicken wire from east to west on the north side of your plant. Make the chicken wire 2 feet high, and as long as you can. Train your plant down the chicken wire in one direction, then loop it around and start back in the other direction. Though, I've always woundered what you do in scrog once your plant starts to develope a kola? Do you tie that down too. wouldn't you damage it. Better off growing lowryders dude.

I'm trying the SCROG method..when i started flowering and colas began to form i stopped tying them down...i let them grow upwards (if i had to i woulld tie them outwards...but not down that much)... when i harvest then re-veg & flower my plant i think the SCROG will work out even better.

you actually want to train them before putting the screen on... get all the tops as even as you can by tying them all down, then eventually put on the screen, about a week before flowering... keep training the plant under the screen until you start to see buds, like eyeless said, then just let them go... after a while, you can start to trim the growth underneath the screen, as they probably won't be getting very much light and won't be producing anything... above the screen will be just all colas!

wow, thanks snugglefunked that's very helpfull. a node is the distance between the leaves and branches on the main stem. the plant usually flowers at every node.

well if i dont use any of them methods how tall will my plant get and how much pot u think id get out of 4 if female's and how long would it last me lol

depends, how tall were they when u started to flower? cuz typically, they can grow 2 sometimes 3 times their size during flowering! so if u end up with a 4, 4 ft plants, i'd say like 1oz - 4oz per plant
