SANTA CLARA, Calif.–Authorities have raided a Santa Clara medical marijuana dispensary for the second time in less than two weeks.
The San Jose Mercury News reports that the Angel's Care Collective is suspected of making illegal profits and selling marijuana to people who lacked proper documentation.
Narcotics agents arrested nine people and seized 30 pounds of pot from the collective on Wednesday.
Bob Cooke with the South Bay region of the Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement says the collective was warned during the first raid on Oct. 15 not to sell marijuana illegally. But it allegedly continued to do so.
A message left at Angel's Care early Thursday morning was not immediately returned. It's unclear what evidence, if any, authorities had to suspect it was making money illegally.
