Sad Looking Plant

Hi guys not sure what is going wrong here. I actually found this baby in better condition. Perhaps it is a clone? Im not sure the soil isn't so well drained. Could that be it or does it need fertiliser?

Hey Glenski,

Welcome to 420! Yes that’s a clone that was cut from a plant which was already in flower cycle. The reveg Pennywise mentioned in where it’s reverting from flower cycle back to veg cycle - that’s why it’s throwing funky single blade leaves. It’s gonna grow slow for several weeks no matter what you do - it will go from single blades to 3 bladed fans and then eventually the normal 5 bladed fan leaves.

As mentioned above we need to know whats in your soil mix if you can reply with that info. Coco looks like soil but it must be treated very differently or else you will run into more problems soon.

Thanks Pennywise & Johnnie!

I’m gonna assume that’s pure coco....So Glenski - if thats coco then hydro rules apply...technically speaking coco is a low tech drain to waste hydro growing format.

Coco is totally inert meaning there are no nutes in the bucket to feed your plant so you gotta bottle feed lite nutes every day. Set your ph from 5.8 to 6.2 Also the coco cannot be allowed to dry out and don't give her plain water ever. So she gets fed once a day now but as she grows bigger you will up it to 2 X per day and then in flower 3 X per day. Plus gonna need cal-mag added to your soup for coco

Oh yeah lite nutes = quarter strength - is that right Pennywise or JohnnieJC3?

I’m soil grower so this is not my deal - but this crew will correct any errors I’ve made

Ok think I got it yeah thanks so much everyone. So I guess when it comes to clones it is normal for some die off? As long as there is new growth all good? Interesting there was only two small holes in the bottom I thought that wasn't enough and made it a bit bigger. I have naturally neutral spring water so i need to lower that do I as the that would be Ph7 or 6.8. I will use the chemical growth stage formulae I have at a quarter strength and water lightligh regularly :)

Just to confuse things , is this organic coco or hydro coco ? , i also see slow release balls ( that i hate with cannabis ) they are a pain when they get hot , hard to flush as they keep feeding
Now little did i know AND I PROB GIVE WRONG INFO BEFORE WITH ORGANIC COCO GROWERS , if there is dry amendments then it needs a ph like soil 6.4/7.0 or tap water WILL DO its a soil grow but with coco and amendments you feed the medium not the plant , , if pure coco and bottle feeding synthetic then yes you need the lower ph so the nutrients are available for the plant when needed , I've just built an organic coco soil as its new to me and feel stupid for given the wrong advice to people :sorry:,
Any ways let us know how your treating this , organic or synthetic :thumb:

This guy ^ ^ ^ ... knows his shite too! Great catch Nutty!!!

glenski - most nutes do the basic NPK but typically they don’t have calcium or magnesium that the plant needs. We need more info on everything in that bucket to help you. Seriously - it would be wise to stay tuned here or to start a journal so we can look after you. Your plants will hit the wall quickly if you try to wing it and the water source, ph stuff and cal-mag matters greatly. I’m not skilled in the hydro formats but there are plenty of growers here who are...

I’m going to bow out since we have exceeded my abilities but this crew can get you sorted!!

synthetic is what i have right now

Just watch those slow release balls , they are made mostly for tap water higher ph , so id go 1/4 strength encase they break down more quickly with acidic inputs 5.8 might cut them more and over feed your plants , if there is just a few then you should be ok :) but stay light on feeding for a while:goodluck:
personally if i didn't know what is in the pot i would get a new pot with fresh soil or coco as it is a regular plant not an auto , you can up pot any time , then your 100 percent what is in the medium and its your choice on how and what to feed.

So this is where it’s at. Is it regrowing

and starting to flower?

That’s not in flower now, it is a clone cut or taken from a plant that was already in flower so now it’s got to reveg which is why you have single bladed fan leaves. I would keep it on 18/6 lights to let it grow for a month or two before flipping to 12/12 for flower.

It will take several weeks to turn around and start growing properly again. First are 1 bladed leaves, later it will pop 3 bladed fan leaves, then finally it will push out regular 5 bladed fan leaves... then it will resume growing.

Since it was previously in flower before the clone was cut... when it reveges it will be a bushy mother this is called a monster cropped plant. If you can keep it going it should yield nicely.

If it’s touching other plants or in close proximity - that’s easy way to transfer garden pests...

Do you know if that’s coco? What nutes are you using? Yes the right amount is good...

Hi thanks, well I don’t have a light my place is a bit small but it’s Very sunny next few months. I started this thread as I found this abandoned plant the guys said it’s coco and I think there is some slow release fert in there. I’ve got synthetic grow fert, guys said to use it 4-6 times diluted? I wanted to make sure not to use bloom fert so thanks. I put some fert in few weeks ago but wasn’t sure and it’s still going ok. So a little bit every day of diluted stuff on the coco not on the leaves is that right?
