There is a sub forum dedicated to folks from Australia and New Zealand. It might help get an answer if you can ask there. They have enough trouble finding seed companies and I figure they will check and double check each one they hear about.

NL was bred originally on the west coast of the US. either in california or washington, there's a lot of debate. a somewhat famous aussie of dutch heritage took one of the original strains from there to the netherlands and marketed it.
the NL that was grown in BC and califorinia in the late 70's early 80's is a little different than the NL from the netherlands. the north american NL is supposedly a bit more sativa, but both plant strains are indica dom with the same background. the percentages are probably the difference.
the same aussie brought NL seeds into oz but i have no idea if he is connected to the australian sacred seeds company or not. northern lights is a famously cooler climate northern latitude plant. i've no idea how well it would do in aus.
skunk and NL were the backbone of the 80's - 90's underground commercial production in canada.
