Root growth during flowering?

I consider myself a newbie and have so much to learn. I appreciate all the experts with experience on this site who are willing to share.

Does root growth change during the flowering cycle or does it continue to grow to container capacity?[/

I have my plants in 7 gallon Smart Pots and went big on purpose. Link to my journal in my signature. I want a huge root mass to support the giant nugs that I envision. I'm hoping the roots continue to fill out and are able to support the amazing growth above ground.

as i know (because i see )
root growing continues, but slow down week to week.
in the first weeks of flowering, definitelly growing roots.
but, if you really interested, try to put some plants into bigger containers.

im no expert but would think they grow all time. but probly slower at end of cycle than beginning
