Cops caught them green-handed. And now five people have been charged in connection with an attempted theft of marijuana at a grow-house in the northwest.
A phone tip led police to a burglary in progress in Hawkview on Friday.
When cops arrived, they nabbed three men fleeing the home who police said were covered in marijuana resin and two men who were waiting outside.
When the police searched the house, they found 508 marijuana plants worth an estimated $835,000.
Charged with break and enter are Hao Liang Tan, 32; Troy Minh Tran, 20; Chun Hsieh Kuan, 47, and Shaun Paul Roberts, 20.
Another gentleman, 20, has been charged with five handgun-related offences.
