Reg Run- Cherries Dubilee x LC18

9mm, I've been with you with your thoughts on #3 until this day. I now think #4 looks the most ominous! The other three are just ominous! :Rasta:
I'm trying to be patient and wait for all the post harvest details... terps/bud density/effect, but I'm very happy with what I'm seeing in #3 and #4.
#4 is just covered in tricomes and has grenades for buds. Hard to see the other phenos topping her.
🤔

Always great to see ya GDB!

Looking Great. I'm with you on 3 and 4. The frost is epic.
All four have showed their strengths and weaknesses along the way. 👍 1 and 2 definitely had strong veg genes, but collapsed a bit in Flower.
3 and 4 looked a bit weaker at flip, but came thru strong where it matters.

I'm really waiting for this first harvest to decide, but I'm about 99% certain that #4 may be the wiener 🏆. #3 is better on bud structure, but doesn't have the same frost... Total toss-up right now. LoL
Time will tell...

Great to see ya @Lerugged

#1 and #2 have so much volume to their root ball, that the coco is almost hydrophobic. It's like trying to pour water into concrete. Their feed basically runs off to sides & straight to the drip pan. Thankfully, they sip it all back up, but I think they're only getting a partial dose to the lowest roots.

Plants #3 and #4 aren't as bad, but I have to feed them very slow to get coco to actually drink their juice.

#3 is looking very good as far as size/structure and bud density.
#4 Looks a bit sad all the time, but has the frostiest buds of the crew.

Phenos #1 and #2 are "just ok" in my opinion. I still plan on running them again with better conditions to ensure I'm not passing up a Unicorn, but I suspect my keeper plant is gonna come from pheno #3 or #4.

Looking forward to a Christmas harvest.

Good morning MillyMan

As you know coco is new to me. This is what I am finding. I always feed every water coz I use mega crop. I don’t think I water any more than I did in soil. The other thing I do and have always done, which I know is frowned upon, I waterboard mine to the point my drip trays are almost overflowing and I let them sit in the puddle and sip as they need, then once it’s empty I water again till the drip tray is full and let them sit in it. I also allow them to dry right out. If I listen to my plants, they’re saying they’re happy and the roots are being well looked after. I grow with a less is more approach and only use mega crop, granted I’m a bit lapsy Daisy on the amount they get lol.

I’m loving the simplicity of coco. That said I haven’t flowered in complete coco so I might yet drive my grow into a ditch.

Quick pics of the babies....

Whatever keeper I keep is coming from these lil heifers. 🤙

Making some changes in the casita today....

Started with the first generation of Cherries Dubilee x LC18 clones. I think I've decided that phenotypes #3 and #4 are the keepers I want to keep working. Plants #1 and #2 were culled

Had to pull their panties off to get a closer look at their shorts & curlies 😅

I did keep the second gen clones of all 4 phenotypes just in case, but I'm fairly certain I've got the superstars identified.
1000005620.jpg

Veg room is still pretty full, but nowhere near as bad as when I had all 4 of the big ladies in there.
1000005619.jpg

Prepping for transplant into 5gal pots, then flipping.
I forgot how much damn coco it takes to fill 5's. LoL Had to expand a few extra bricks to get this all done.

Gonna be busy wit it for a bit... will update some new pics after transplant.

✌️

Got the clone from #4 transplanted, staked, and moved to flower.

Solid root ball, but I definitely vegged these for too long. They're pretty floppy once pulled out of their little cubby.

Staking was absolutely necessary, praying for minimal stretch, but I'm betting she's gonna be as tall as me here soon. 😅

Gonna be harvesting something from the flower room soon so I can transplant #3 clone and shift her to flower as well. I think she's gonna be fine for a couple more days in the veg box.
Feeling lazy and not gonna mess with anything else out there today.

Stay MotaVated y’all
:snowboating:

The 2nd gen clone group was only in 1/2 solo cup of coco. They got a little bump today. Gave em a bit more coco, and hit em with mycos.

They seem pretty happy with all their new found space in the veg room. 🤘

#3 pheno of the 1st gen clone crew seems to be happy with her new accommodations as well.

I'll be getting her into a 5gal pot soon. Just trying to hold off until there's space in the flower room.

Love, peace, and chicken grease

LoL... shit has gotten overwhelming lately. I honestly had too much going on and had to finally shit or get off the pot.

The veg was my biggest concern; the first round of clones had over-run the space. Culling 2 monster plants was rough, but I kept their babies in case.

I'll start harvesting the seed group next week and get to where I've only got 2 in flower, and 4 babies in the veg.

Busy for now, but seeing some relief coming soon.

Work has been kicking my ass, so I took a sick day today to tighten things up. 🤙

Transplanted the 2nd generation clone of pheno #3 Cherries Dubilee x LC18.

She was in a 1gal pot; transplanted into a 5gal and shifted her into the flower room.

More pics coming soon.... Clone baby's momma was also harvested today ✂️✂️✂️

Knocked out the harvest on Cherries Dubilee x LC18 (seed plant) pheno #3.

Strong fruit flavors... somewhere between berries, cherries, and plums. She's sweet as can be. 🤙

I started on these a bit earlier than I usually would because of the issues I've been having with space in the veg room.

I'd have let them go longer if I wasn't doing a follow-on run of her clone. I could tell the buds were solid, and tricomes were all milky white with ambers on the sugar leaves.

Next flower group will go 80-90 day, for sure.

Now I'm confused 9mm. Once you flip them how can you make them flower longer? Isn't it up to the plant's genetics how long it takes to get to the ready state?

EDIT: Never mind my last comment. I understand what you meant now. You took her earlier than you usually would!

Yeah, genetics decide when, but there's about a 3 week window (in my opinion) to actually harvest them.

I generally shoot for a longer flower session to let tricomes get to 30-40% amber. The plants I just harvested are only about 5% amber.

If I wasn't so strapped for space, I'd have let these plants go another week or two.

Once these dry and I can test the effect, I'll have a baseline for what harvest window will be ideal for the effect I want.
