Reddish leaf stems

Hey,

Iam now in weak 2 of flowering and some of the leaf stems became a little reddish but only the upper half of the leaf stem and not fully solid, it looks more like sprinkled (cant find a pic to show because all I found always were pics that had fully red color which isnt the case for mine). The veins are fully green and it seems to only occur in the middle of the plant, the new fan leaves on top dont have this.

Had this same "problem" if it is one on my first grow with the same strain, its Skunk#1 from SensiSeeds.

Have a bit nute burn on my plant because of probably over fertilized soil but not that bad its only the tips and only 2 leaves on top curling a bit but not much. I wasnt sure if it was nute burn or just yellowing // deficiency so I added a bit grow fertilizer from Canna at 1.0 EC in my water 5 days ago.

Iam not sure now if the reddish was there before but if I had to guess I would say it came 1 day after I fertilized but not sure.

Otherwise the plant is still growing nearly 5cm (~2 inches) each day. Overall the plant looks healthy, the lower leaves become yellow but I think thats normal because they are not getting any light anymore (happens all the time here and there at some stages Ive noticed).

Temps are fine for the most part around 22-28°c for night // day. Humidity is ok I think with 38-48%, probably depending on how wet the soil still is. Its a soilless mix and I always water with ~6 PH and the runoff is the same (checked it).

And also want to add that I never have this problem in veg state, always happens shortly after flowering somewhere, maybe genetics ? And since this "problem" appeared 4 days ago it seems it didnt get worse, it just stayed that way so Iam not over worried but still I want to know why it happens.

Sorry I cant post pics but Ill try to find a pic in the internet which comes close and edit my post then but so far I didnt have luck :/.

I have to answer on my own thread because now Iam sure why this happened ...

Its a N deficiency .... Reddish stems with leaves becoming yellow -> N deficiency, it went now through the whole plant from the bottom to the top. Iam just VERY curious why nobody ever knew that, I mean this is probably the most common deficiency that can happen to your plant and I even had pics uploaded on my first grow where I had the exact same problem and still nobody ever knew what it was .....

The yellowing can look similar to a magnesium deficiency, tho. But Ive tried to foliar spray and even tried to water with epsom salts but my plant got a few rusty spots after watering with it but nothing too bad, just a few leaves. (Ive just tried 1 plant first).

And its also no wonder why this always happens for me in flowering because the nutes in the soil are sucked out already. The other reason being to switch to fast from grow to bloom fertilizer.

Iam still baffed nobody ever knew it or even just gave a little hint to it. Now on this forum I didnt upload any pics but back then in the other growing forum on my first grow ...

But still shouldnt ppls know about reddish stems and yellowing leaves -> N deficiency ?...

I could be genetics though Djs Strains all tend to be reddish. Red does not always mean nitrogen deficiency. But yellowing leaves are a big heads up. I'm glad you solved your problem.

When I ran fox farms line up I had similar issues. House and garden recommends nitrogen boost up to week 2 of flower even though it's optional. I've had way less yellowing of leaves after switching to H&G. Red stems is extreme nitrogen deficiency. I didn't think you were that lacking based on post. Pictures would of helped. But I'm very glad you figured it out. That's what makes each of us stronger growers is trial and error. Thanks for posting so others could learn from your issue.
