Recess Is Over - Now To Muck Up The Lesson

I've been looking back and I think your soil plants are better than your hydro ones. Healthier looking anyway.

Yeah..but the Audry's are part of that soil equation....sorta skews the odds a bit :)

All I needed to know was that you could use soil indoors, lol... Once that was discovered,it was just a matter of using up the coir and nutes I'd brought, lol..in saying that though, I'd like to have a data base that has best medium etc for particular strain.. I've got a feeling that bubba kush goes better in the coir than soil. Haven't grown grizzly purple kush in coir but I feel she'd be better in a soil medium.. Idk, might have just had good phenos in those mediums...

I threw my used coffee grounds in my compost and all my buds have a light coffee smell and taste and I ph down my water with bottled lemon juice and they all have a light lemon flavor too. It really set the smell of the Bubba Kush off making my mouth water every time I smell it lol

Here's a photo of her grizz can you tell me if something's wrong mate ?

Looks like she is lacking a little in N but i wouldnt worry too much, seems to be only affecting the older fans which always will lose color/fade during flower and no signs of any other serious deficiencies. Looks to me like she has been flowering for at least 4 weeks going by the pistils, during the flowering phase you dont want a whole heap of N in the mix, I would simply keep going with what you are doing, will need to feed a bit more often as the plant grows but as for strength id stay as is, looks about right by looking at leaf tips, any stronger might cause some burn this late. Saying that though its hard without any info, how far along? what nutes do you use? how often do you feed? setting PH? what strengths etc.

Cheers feral, and she's about 5weeks or so into flower my ph is 7 1/2 which I know is a tiny bit high but not bad and at the start in vegaitive state I used a basic all purpose NPK Fert I only used it twice though and about a week and a half in to flower I used liquid potash+ a booster for fruits and blooms I have only fed it this twice as I'm a bit afraid to give it to much after all I have read on nute burn and I water every second day cheers heaps feral calmed my nerves alot mate RoorRip

Hey redmud, mouser, feral.. Thanks for your replies.. Kemsy, looking good mate.. Little feed she'd love.. Going along well.. Goose it up and Maybe means, do it but don't over do it, lol....

You might need to get yourself some flower nutes, heaps to choose from in the hydro shops or something simple and cheap like powerfeed from bunnings should work (i think the purple one is for flowers but dont quote me on that lol), even a bit of seasol might give her that bit of an extra boost, will probably find she is just using up the last of the available nutes in soil hence the slight discoloration to the fans :thumb: Potash boosters etc will only have certain elements and defo no N usually, they are to give a bit extra when using base nutes ;)

Oh and PH, 7.5 is way too high for nute mixes, try get them down to about 6.5 in soil, if its just the water you are talking about at 7.5 i wouldnt worry too much either, i dont ph my water, i find our water here is very clean and doesnt contain any bad elements, also very low ec which means as it mixes with the available nutes in the soil the ph will buffer down as long as your soil PH is in a good range ;)

Okay I have a bit of seasol my mate gave me In a bottle I will give some of that in the miring thanks heaps guys and cheers grizz I won't over do it bro lol RoorRip

Hey Kemsy; try a small tub of Neutrog orchid food.. Fully organic pellets, has a bit of N in it, which makes it a nice P K heavy general fert, and you only need a few pellets at a time for a single plant. Bunnings have it, should be less than 10 bucks, last for ages if you go easy. Great for orchids, too! And roses. Also try Searles 5-in-1. $6 from Bunnings for like 20 litres or whatever. Great fully organic compost blend but is one of the few organic blends to be careful of. Very "HOT", or N heavy, because it has a lot of manure in it. A little bit goes a long way. Use for teas (one small handful in 20 litres water, let sit and stir or aerate for at least 3 hours, pour on plants) or just a light sprinkle on the top soil., and water in well. Light sprinkle equals, like, less than half a handful.
The orchid food you can chuck around as much as you like, but you don't need to.

Edit 2: P K is what you want for flowering, so orchid feed is a good option.. But you need other stuff for flowers, and the Neutrog stuff is pretty good..
