Reamending used soil

I may have started this thread a couple years ago. But that was a couple years ago, and things change fast in the world of cannabis.

I'm getting ready to begin my new grow. Indoors, four 10 gallon soft pots. Previous soil was Happy Frog, that did really well. Seeds will be autos.
So what's the current line of thinking? Any new soil recipes, or mixture of amendment I should look at?

If your thinking of going organics I've been really happy with Gaia Green nutrients. They are dry top dress nutes and relatively affordable. Would fit right in with happy frog or ocean forest.

I just amended my old soil with Gaia Green organic nutrients, EWC, prilled dolomite lime, and some basmati rice. We have been having a discussion about soil amending over at the Gee Spot thread off and on. You may get some more soil recipes over there.

i have about 100 gallons of a super-soil mix, either SubCool's or Coot's. Originally started off by using 2 parts compost, 1 part Peat Moss and 1 part Perlite. Then I mixed in the amendments recommended for a super-soil.

Now-a-days I start off my soil mix with the same 2 parts Compost, 1 part of Peat and 1 part Perlite but I skip the amendments. Also no more amendments used to redo the mix later. I top-dress with a 'grow' and a 'bloom' fertilizer from Roots Organic.

When the wood chips in the soil have decomposed I will mix an equal amount of fresh wood chips and let it rest for 3 months or longer. Depending on how far along the fresh wood chips towards decomposing I will use that as a new base for another batch of soil.
