RDWC submersible pump

I am having a difficult time finding the correct pump to recirculate my nutes down here in South America. There are larger pumps of 1500 litters per hour that are inline and are not submersible (this is what I want) and then there are aquarium pumps (that must be submerged). I would love to use one of those aquarium pumps, rather than a large inline pump. So my question is, Can the pump be submerged in the bucket with the plant, and pump out directly from there into the reservoir, or is that not advisable?

I don't think you could, the roots would quickly clog up the pump

Yah it would suck up the roots bad idea. Unless you put the pump in a sticking with Hydrotun around it. Now that’s a filter.

I used one in a 27gal heavy tote with 16 gallons. It was a top fed/dwc hybrid that yielded one lb. The roots would get close but were easily pushed away once a day. They key is to keep an eye on it instead of thinking "oh it'll be okay"
