Damn, those nugs look tasty. Sounds like a great strain.

Every true sativa lover should give it a try in my opinion.

I'm only just dipping my toes in the sativa pond. It's taken me 3 years to get over my fear of them. LOL

Well it's not a walk in the park, but LST can get even the most vigorous sativa to adjust to indoor environment. With alternative photoperiod like 11/13 you can also mimic tropical day/night cycle.

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

So you suggest 11 on 13 off during flowering? Does this shorten flower period, or affect growth rate? Sorry... probably a stupid question.

Also, my fear of sativas, was more of the paranoia inducing high I get off the strong ones. Now that my tolerance is at a decent level, I don't really get paranoid anymore and can enjoy the occasional sativa blast.

Still, I doubt I'll be tackling landrace strains anytime soon. I'm struggling to keep my Exodus Kush under control. LOL!!

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Yes 11/13 works great for flowering, it will shorten finishing time and prevent herming. Actually you can even veg with this photoperiod. Landraces love it, but even hybrids will fall for that. Yeah good rockety blast is what's it's all about

That's true, you have to start them early in the season, and give them long veg. However, all landraces native to tropical or subtropical latitudes I've grown are ready by mid October in my climate, which is good enough for me :thumb:

And here are some rainy day pics of young seedlings. They are really outside now, and this is their first serious rain. Very important ingredient of all outdoor grows, which brings nitrogen and life into the soil giving plants a real boost!

And they're off!

If you were to run 100% sativas on flower light schedule from start of seed to finish what size pot would you recommend? I'll be running Malawi, Dr. Grinspoon, and Golden Tiger if you have any experience with those strains. Do you think vegging them for 5 weeks would increase yield by much? Just curious on your thoughts as if they don't flower until they're ready I midas well save on energy costs if its not going to increase yields by much.

Hey man!

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Hmmm I'm gonna tell you what I'd if I were you indoor. First thing that vegging and flowering in a big pot is a sure way to get crazy stretch and wide internodes. Sativas love to grow their tap root quickly and they are really able to fill any pot you'd give them. So to cut them short you should veg in a small pot 1,5 gal max. You could get an air-pot if you like and work that way to max the yield. Also stable Temps between night and day will minimize the stretching. So if you can afford to heat up by night or cool down by day you can catch them that way. Veg shouldn't be more than 16/8 or 15/9, but you can also just run 11/13 from the start cause they have to get to their reproductive stage anyway to kick into flowering. Yeah around 11/13 for flowering is a recommended move in your game by the way, you could also try 10/14, they will both work, and you get also good ratio of watt hours saved against the yield, which you can push up by going light on the nitrogen and heavier on calcium/magnesium in the same time :tokin2:

Nice Conradino! It's going to be a great season!

I hope it's gonna be great quality year, also I hope for little bud worms trouble :smokin2:

Re: Ramble In The Jungle Feat - OG Kush - Ultra Dog - Ghost Train Haze & Colombian Do

Hey my friend. If you got worm problems,,,, one spray like 4 weeks before harvest with Captain Jacks Dead Bug brew works for me. Haven't had a worm since. And been 4 outside grows without. Knock on Wood. And you can bet I'll dose mine this year too. GL Keepem Green

Hey man. I got an Italian product containing bacillus thurigiensis to get them, so here's hoping. But if it doesn't work then I'm getting something with spinosad.
