Investigators raided a medical marijuana dispensary called Canna Help on El Paseo.

Canna Help is in an unmarked office on the second floor of a building on El Paseo. It's closed for the day--its owner and employees taking measure of what was seized in this afternoon's raid.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Special Investigation Bureau served a search warrant at Canna Help in Palm Desert. They accuse Canna Help of selling marijuana for profit in violation of the state's health and safety code.

Canna Help says they are running a medicinal marijuana co-op made legal by state lawmakers. Investigators took all the marijuana inside, the store security camera system and questioned employees for nearly three hours.

Stacy Hochanadel, Canna Help owner says, "They seized some of the computer systems, the security system we have, they left the patient documents. Some attorney from the HIPA group, so no patients files were scene by police."

The owner's home was also searched today. The sheriff's department is handing over the evidence to the county district attorney's office. This isn't the first time a local dispensary has been raided.
